I'm one for wearing feminine dresses with flip flops or wedges/ballarina flats but for me this isn't WAM gear. I'm curious to know if anybody else out there is so particular in their choice of mudding gear, and, if they were faced with a nice squelchy patch of mud wearing what was for them 'unsuitable' clothing; would it still be as enjoyable?
I love walking up to a boggy patch and wondering if I can take it on almost as much as sloping around in the mud itself....I say almost; wondering if my trainers will sink in to the point of loosing them in the marshy, sloppy, mud or clay and I like mud splashes up the legs of my jeans. I don't go for the deepest mud at the start of my walk; enjoy watching the colour of my trainers change as they succomb and I'll feel pleased if i've mudded them up to the laces or completely

Never gone deep enough as yet though to cover the bottoms of my jeans. Hence, I've walked away from many boggy patches feeling they were just 'too deep'....not good.
In my case I have to either be near a huge puddle, carry another pair of clean trainers to change into post mudding, or, have an endless supply of wet wipes to clean my trainers up.

When i've been mudding feel totally embarassed if I see people as they'll naturally stare at the state of my feet and wonder where I've been; (I live in a city) one guy looked straight down at my muddy Converse and just stared right at me for ages....I wonder what he was thinking?
