still the question is who was the better woman, not the better show. think we can all agree tiswas was messier. but holly is more up for it :)

I think you'll find I said Tiswas was a better show. Doubt people will remember MoM 30 years later (it started in the mid-70s)

Yeah - Tiswas was easily the better show.

SMTV (?) (Ant and Dec and Cat) was the closest I've seen to it's level of fun and humour.

But I don't think MOM will be easily forgotten either. I'm certain that show has launched an entire generation of WAM fans who'll be joining us on this forum in about six years time.

I think DD might have stealed the show here, good point this. Imagine Tiswas with Holly on it up for almost anything, I can see Bill asking to go back for some more work experience........

Here's a challenge DD, if you get work placement from your college try and beat Bill's time at Tiswas.

I was never allowed to watch Tiswas.

My Mum and Dad didn't approve of all the mess. I was stuck with Swap Shop.

I'm still traumatised to this day. DD if you ever fancy being the phantom flan flinger, let me know ;-)

I knew there was an advantage to being a bit older!

Was already away from home when Tiswas made it down south.

I remember having fantasies about being messed up by Mr Tarrant but not sure why!

Having now seen the clips, I have to agree with Hayley; Holly every time! I loved Tiswas, but Sally never took a sploshing like Holly. That girl was a consumate TV presenter; she kept going whatever was being lobbed at her - and clearly enjoyed it. I wonder if she is still sploshing? Now there is a thought!!

I watched this last night (cheers Laura) and have to agree with Julie as soon as the pies start flying shes out of their Toyah took some good pies though.

Before you all ask my last name is Wilcox and she is not my aunty as everybody asked at school. Would have come in handy later on in life. Would of brightened up splosh days no end.

That brought back some memories even if it took a while to downlowd for us non-Broadband types!

Loved the fact the musicians played live!

And Toyah did a grand job.

Brought it all back. Saturday TV will never be like that again.

Just thinking that Sally never let her boob fall out on air, but Holly's did accidentally! Hate to say that they are both good fantasy fodder, and think they are both very sexy ladies whilst clean or messy!

Sally James for me every time. Always did perfer the darker ones. Besides which, it's a fair bet that she was the subject of my first wank, which makes her hard to beat. God, she's lovely.
Look, if you're all going to throw pies around would you mind throwing them at me!!!

Yup - that Toyah clip is a perfect example of 'vanishing Sally' ... same to, because I liked the blue dress she was wearing. That's so frustrating that she skipped out of there just as the song collapsed into messy mayhem.

I sometimes wonder how they managed to have so much water and mess flying around that studio without wrecking expensive camera equipment, sound equipment, lighting etc .... plus the risk of electrocuting someone.

Same goes for Dik and Dom - in some of their scenes, there are buckets of custard being hurled in all directions.

Bill will reveal all on the subject of keeping the equipment dry when he gets back from another Gilly shoot.

And Dick and Dom don't use real custard. It is a creamy foam boased stuff dyed yellow. Good consistency though.
