Well, here I am back home from my trip on a cruise ship around the Black Sea and Eastern Med. Before leaving UK I had given up hope of the future of the studio, but there still appears to be some hope. I am in touch with the owner of the building and there seems to be some hope as long as I can keep up the rent payments. I have received a bill for the cleaning so I will pay it and see what happens next.
Wish us luck;
Richard.

Good luck Richard. I hope things work out. From a fellow splosher, naturist and cruiser.

Thanks, custardandrew, for your good wishes, we might have more in common? I am a midlander (Wolverhampton born @ raised) and a railway enthusiast, model and real (especially the locos of Derby construction).
The way things are going with the studio,I will be taken to court if I don't pay the next studio rent and cleaning bills. I am reluctant to leave the bills to my partner, also the court charges as she has nothing to do with my sploshing activities. I would rather go to jail!

Anybody got some ideas?

I'm at my wits end, it wasn't very far!! I have recently received a voice message by phone from Sammy-Jane telling me not to make any further contact. So that removes one anxiety for the time being. I had wondered if (when I was in jail) she might have put a hacksaw blade in a custard pie and smuggle it to my cell!!!!!

I have also been in contact with Tony Shield and have come to a provisional arrangement; I will pay to get the locks changed then I will totally wash my hands of the whole affair! I think it will be a shame if the studio in which so many shorts were made by Bill Shipton, will be lost to 'splosh world' but unless someone comes forward, I can see no alternative.

That's a shame Richard, but as long as you stay out of jail and aren't bankrupt by the place it may be for the best.

Just wondering if anything came of any ideas for the studio?

Also Sammy-Jane mentioned something about relocation way back in her July posting above. Did anything come of that?

I always regretted never visiting the studio during Bill's reign (though it would have been very difficult in my circumstances at that time), but would now be in a better position to travel for a session, within a reasonable distance.

There is a fund for Joe where money is raised by video "I'd do anything for Joe" so would have been good if the models had done a similar thing like "I'd do anything for Richard" then raise funds to help keep the bills paid while building up trade at the studio.

Its a sad loss if that studio is gone for good. Thanks Richard for making the effort in trying to keep it open. It seems things have been mostly resolved now which is better news for you.

Is there any news on any relocation, mentioned in Simon's post?

Very late to chime in here but I've only just seen this and Richard & Sammy Jane I'm so sorry, it was a heartbreaking read.

I was aware it was closing but hadn't been on this forum in a long time.

I kept Sammy Jane on my website advertising her til I knew it had closed, and I'm so sorry I couldn't do more than that. I had high hopes of trying to help, but my situation changed drastically just after the takeover and I was no longer able to spend the amount of time needed away from home.

After 20 months of slog I've had to let my wam pad go, and have had to move all session related stuff back to my place where I did them from originally, which I'm still in the process of doing and it's a nightmare to say the least

Anyway, Big hugs to both of you xxx

It's a shame that the Splosh studio is no more. I'm also sorry to hear that Candy has let her wam pad go. Glad to hear you are keeping on.
