A Big Thank You.

Postby Sidi » 14 Aug 2013, 10:13

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone on here for being on here and making this community what it is.

I recently changed my screen name following an epiphany, (or mid life crisis  ) as I want to be me and not just an on screen identity just for the internet. I had my first every messy session with someone four weeks ago after having the fantasy for about 15 years. You know who you are and thank you. :D

I also changed my email address, and that is where the panic set in. I received an email saying my account had been de activated.
I can't log into the forum, I can never post again. I felt out in the wilderness.
Despite that I don't post a lot, I do visit everyday. I really started to miss the people on here, the banter, the humour. I could still read the forum, it just felt weird not being able to post. I didn't feel part of it anymore

I was away over the weekend for my birthday (Thank you for the messages :D ) and returned to find an email saying my account had been re activated. You have no idea how relieved I felt.

So to everyone on here, regulars, occassionals and even those who just visit but never post, thank you for being part of such a great community and making it what it is.

Sidi, I'm not sure who your former 'persona' was, but I'm glad you feel welcome and at home here - I hope everyone does.

This is definitely a very kind & supportive community, and I am very pleased to be a part of it.

'Welcome back'!

Sorry not sure how your account became deactivated. I did go through and activate a load of accounts the other day, we've had to tighten up the registration a bit cause for ever legit account there are 20 potential spammers at the moment!

Can I say, on behalf of most of us, a big 'THANK-YOU' to Muckypup for keeping this forum going so that we can all keep in touch with each other during these leaderless times. No doubt things will sort themselves out in due time.
Bottoms Up!

Big huge massive thanks to Muckypup :D :D
I changed my screen name from asdamax, which didn't cause a problem, but I then changed my email address and then I received an email which notified me that my account was now de activated and needed approval from admin, and the email came from Bill@Splosh.

But hey, I am back, able to post and as happy as a pig in the proverbial.
And there is no way I am changing any of my settings again, I don't think my heart could take it

Ah I see that makes sense, guess you need reapproving if you change your email. Glad you ate back. I'll try and defeat the spammers so the good folk aren't affected.

Beware of trying to change your registered email address - the forum doesn't seem to work properly. I had the same problem - on a change of email address the forum claims to send a confirmation / validation email to reestablish the account - standard practice - but it doesn't seem to send that email, leaving your account in limbo until you respond to an email you never get.
It wasn't that long ago that I'd punch someone in the face when they pissed me off; now I just delete them from Facebook - that'll show the mother-fuckers...

For me it wouldn't be a problem if something happened to my splosh account as I would be able to ask one of the many people I know through umd, fetlife, yahoo, etc etc to contact pup for me. Actually one of those people is pup! Anyway my point is lots of us are contactable through other forums, sites etc so if something happens to your account let one someone know to pass the message along. Really nice to hear the word "community" so often in posts at the moment and that's exactly what we are a community who are there to support each other.
In our community there are some people who do far more than any of us expect or would have the cheek to ask for; Muckypup being one of them. I know we don't say it often enough but it really is appreciated without those of you who help run sites and organise splunches etc etc. Thank you guys.
