Hi I'm new to all this, but would love to start up a group of people, male and female, to get together and have fun. First of all get chatting then if there's enough hopefully a possible meet. Please post or email me.
Cheers

Hi Steve,

I organise, with a few others, a London meet up in a Soho pub . . . . to chat and have beer ( a stricly social gathering, no mess ) for just this very reason..... getting to know others who are interested.

Watch this space for details of the next meet up towards the end of September !

Maybe we will see you there !

:D
Who ate all the pies ? What a waste of pie !

Yeah thanks. The reason why I posted was to make contacts on here then meet up to have a drink and get to know people and then a possible group meet. It would be great to meet up with different people. You can email me when there is a meet.

Cheers

There are mud meets out in Essex as well. So gradually people are coming out their closets.

Hi Steve,

What you've described is exactly what the UK Regional WAM Groups were set up to try to do. There are 6 groups covering the whole of the UK with the identical aim of getting people together for a convival afternoon of chat in a pub. If anything more results from those meetings then fine.

It's early days yet but area No 2 (North west) is due to meet up in October and area 5 (Midlands) was showing some signs of life for a meeting this month, I think. These groups will only work when they reach 'critical mass', which almost happened a couple of months ago but not quite, so do feel free to join in!

The London group has been at it since before these were set up so I keep changing the automatic diary for the e-mail reminders from the suggested Saturday afternoon to whichever evening they happen to choose (which kinda makes life tricky, especially if I miss an announcement about it but 'hey' - they're the ones who are meeting!) The idea was that each group could meet every 3 months on a Saturday afternoon but all the suggested dates are designed to interleave so people can go to neighbouring groups without clashes, if they wish.

For more details about the nearest one to you, click here

Regards,
C_W
