Postby messymaddie92 » 11 Nov 2012, 19:03

hi guys i have recently had alot of feedback from customers about the old download store did not show preview pictures so with help from a few people we have created a blog which is linked to both stores i will update every time we produce a new video this blog is

http://messymadams.blogspot.co.uk/

In this video Maddie is wearing her snow white outfit complete with white knee high socks and little black heels as she sits in the pool she finds 7 buckets outside of the pool these include beans, mushy peas, gravy, porridge, mash potato, chicken noodles and finally custard. these were all poured over Maddie's head one by one by Wamrocker who came to assist us with a male wam project.

This video is available for only $7.00 (thats a dollar a bucket)

I hope everyone likes the pics

No prizes for originality. Splosh!'s own "Snow White and the Seven Buckets" starring Scarlett and complete with gags and a storyline has been available for a couple of years and still selling. I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I don't normally butt in on commercial posts but to see the original go to http://sploshdownloads.com/cgi/autogal. ... s-157-0049.

I think that Bill's 'Butting-in' is not only excusable but admirable. This commercial post is not only guilty of blatant idea-stealing but it's misleading as well. I was looking forward to seeing an update from Messy Maddy. A curse on these plagiarists: they should be washed, scrubbed and made to wear clean clothes for ages!

So, let me get this.....

No one is allowed to put their spin on an idea? Expect the lawyers from Disney to come along Mr S?

And as for their being 2 Messymaddies... there isn't - Maddy (the American one) is with a y, and Maddie (the Yorkshire lass) has a 92 on the end aswell...

What an absolutely pointless couple of posts.... lets encourage all our kind.

If I was really annoyed by it I would have removed the post, so clearly I wasn't. I am well aware that ideas and costumes are rarely original, but titles should be. A combination of the same idea and very nearly the same title struck me as worthy of comment, no more.

And as for encouragement, I have met Maddie at a splunch and actively encouraged her and also 'chatted' on Fetlife also equally encouragingly. In fact I think running a free forum that allows anyone to advertise their wares without any charge or token scheme, never normally comments on them whatever we may think of their quality, and is equally sympathetic to amateurs is pretty fucking encouraging all round.

Quite clearly an innocent oversight. Most of the time, people (esp. those who have been around longer) are just going to know these things - or double check titles haven't been used before - but popular themes might well throw the same ones up again (e.g. "Just Desserts" - How many producers have used this in some form?), quite by coincidence. WAM is a much bigger world than it used to be. If they'd been making a tribute - or setting out to challenge - I'm sure they would have mentioned it.

Anyway, Bill's fine about it. No harm done.
