It's getting close :D Shame it sounds like Clay more can't make Leeds met him at the last Leeds splunch lovely bloke. Thanks once again for setting this up Maddie. It's not just that some of us like to wander about the British isles it's also the chance to meet up with people we've chatted to on line for some time. I've traveled to Scotland to meet fellow WAMers I've got on with on line and often people on here are worth a long journey. Really hoping to meet some new faces.

Just following on from earlier posts in this thread, after consultation with the core of the North-west splunch people, we've decided to jettison our next regular one that was due to take place two weeks after this event. We don't want to split the market as Warrington is only an hour along the M62 from Leeds and we want Leeds to succeed and prosper for the future.

We may also be moving our venue further away in future to give a better separation between the two and it looks like that'll be Liverpool in April.

Good luck with things in a couple of weeks. I don't think I'll be able to make it as we have an open-day at work that day and I'll probably be required to be there but we'll see.

Ah hadn't clocked you were coming Mike will be great to see you there and everyone else who's posted to say they're coming. Is it only 2 weeks to go?
Hopefully you wont have to be at work claymore. Fingers crossed.

i have thought about moving the splunch for next year as donny has something special lined up so you might not have any problems with the dates we only chose this date because of the number of people who turned up to your splunch in april being a small number i had advice that it would effect people choices

Wooo! Only a couple of days to go and I've managed to find someone to cover for me so it looks like I'll be along to lend my support! :-) I'm planning to pick up MessyJoJo and we'll travel over together by car, which should make it a lot cheaper than the train, having looked at the ticket prices. (It'll only be for the afternoon, though, not the evening meal.)

One thing I've noticed is that you haven't designated a method of identifying the group, or did I miss that?

We usually have an A-Z and/or OS map clearly on display on the table and suggest that people wander in with one too so that people know they're joining the right group and can spot each other easily. Is that what you plan to do as well?

That's an ingenious A-Z! (I was just thinking of the usual A-Z streetmap but that's got double the use, as you say!) I'll try to remember to wander in with an OS map so you can recognise me and JoJo. (I'll be dressed in drab not drag, of course.)

Looking forward to this, even more so with all the new additions, should be brilliant! Might not make it until around 4, but I'm in for the long haul ;)

Don't be too nervous maddie, you can always run away from us if we are too terrifying ;)
