with regaurd to me and mordicus finding a pub on the thames that floods at high tides:
we spent sunday in twickenham so we could meet the high tide at the white cross pub along the thames, it was one of the rarer times i have been out as Laura during the daytime and i really loved it, there were loads of people about and we never had any trouble regaurding me being cd
we drove there from n london which was a bit of a long journey due to the traffic along the high road and narrower sections of the a406, by train to richmond station might be a better choice next time.
plenty of oppertunity to get wet inwhich we did, though not as high as mordicus was expecting, about knee high was the height across to the pubs wall.
next high tide we will try the swan further around in twickenham as that seems to get flooded too, again parking might be an issue due to the area so we may go by tube, (we got lucky in the small friars lane carpark which was around £8 for four hours i think.
there is mud at the white cross location so we did have a bit of a squelch in that and run through the flood waters to wash clean
previously at chiswick mall flood i have made good use of the silt lef behind and shoe filled the inside of my top and skirt then driven home like that, mostly for the night/dawn high tide when there are fewer people about but again, good oppertunity to get muddy "as some silly people messing about" rather than fetish play during the day time flood
next high tide that will be of good flood height is april 7,8,9th 7&8th being saturday and sunday, the times of the high tide peek for the afternoon ones, sat 7th=15:50, sunday 8th=16.30 and monday 9th=17:17
we are planning or hope to be planning a visit to clubkinx for april so the sat one might clash, not sure atm
anyone intreasted in meeting up for a splash though some flood water?
i'll see which one mordicus wants to aim for, chiswick which the pub is not in the imediate flood or the swan which is, the beer garden is on the bank of the thames, does flood and the road between the pub and garden floods loads
watch this space, i only got one pic of mordicus in the floodwater, neither of us willing to risk our phones in the water, there could be some pics spring up as a few people to pics and we didn't mind helping out lol

This does sound fun, but I think I'd be more worried about how to get home again after

Re: testing the thames flood pubs
Ok, me and Mordicus went to the white swan pub in twickenham for the first of the three high tides in a row that flood the streets.
the height of the water (7.4 on the charts) was only knee deep at this time in the lowest road area, though you could walk out onto the bank and go as deep as you liked, (rather cold on the day so only got out as far as thigh deep), the pub itself is medium size and has a food menu, though a bit pricey, the beer garden did flood but only ankle deep.
we went by train and walked from twickenham rail station as we wern't too sure about parking.
after we saw the highest of the tide i took Mordicus the chiswick mall, though the tide was out now it did allow her to enjoy a silky walk in the thames mud ,
chiswick mall has a good flood height and good legnth of flood for some real good fun, it also has better parking on the weekends (have to do a beeter check on the surrounding streets), we didn't know the boat race was on this weekend so didn't get to check out the pubs here in there regular mode
due to the fact the mud is so tempting it would make a good place to meet up for a muddy walk weither the its a high tide or not.
the wash off would most likely be the thames itself, which i find ok but Mordicus has a much lower body temprature to me in general so did feel the cold quite alot when she got her hands wet, i'll let her tell you why lol
i like the chiswick location the best so far, need to find a good pub within close proximity
