What Haven't I Sploshed With?

Postby Candy Custard » 29 Feb 2012, 01:59

Hello all :D

So I've been challenging people to come up with substances I haven't sploshed with that are within these rules:

Fit for human consumption
Available in the UK

Soups, cheeses, and oils are not allowed as I have used SO many different types of all those

I keep getting dogfood suggested, but as it is made with meat labelled 'unfit for human consumption' along with a load of ash - erm no way.

So far we have:

Xantham gum
Tartare sauce
Vegan custard
Haggis
Garlic puree
Hollowed out cantaloupe (in joke)
Brandy butter
Parsley sauce
Ruby port
Soggy tea bags
Meat paste
Anchovy paste
Pesto
Natto (if I can find some)
Thai fish sauce
Polenta
Taramasalata

Now bear in mind it's taking things this obscure to make the list, having enjoyed as many sessions as I've been so lucky to - so please no everyday suggestions like gravy or mushy peas for example - used those too many times to count! Also very little point suggesting anything sweet but by all means give it a go if it's obscure enough and not something I will have used another form of - like tapioca - I've used tapioca, sago, semolina.. and no suggestions of vegan/soya versions of everything, I'm only allowing the vegan custard (if there is even such a thing :? )

I will use them all at once in a shoot, by the way so then i can be sure there's nothing edible and available in the UK that I haven't sploshed with :D

Remember the rules and the ruled out - off you go! :D

I reckon the answer is to watch Masterchef with its numerous ju of this and compote of that recipes then multiply the quantities by about 1,000.

How about spinach puree? In the interests of science I bought some today for a dare I have to undertake. On its own it is very messy but mixed with mayo and brown sauce it also smells and sticks. As it dries it also loooks like fresh cow poo! Having put clothes on over the top of this I can testify to the little pieces of spinach getting everywhere. I think our washing machine will be adding spinach flakes to every wash.

Alan hello! I'm considering the spinach, thanks!

Squelch, lol at dry uncooked rice - I've sploshed with rice (as part of a curry) so will not be allowing that one sorry ;)
