Since no-one else has said it, I will. Shouldn't that be Phillipa Pants? (say it out loud). Boom boom. Which brings me to Basil Brush. Didn't that have some mess in the most recent series? Never saw it myself. It was never the same after Mr Roy left.

Yes, there is mess on kids TV, I like the clips of Phillippa Peak and think shes quite sexy. Problem is with kids programmes that it involves trawling through hours of tedious rubbish to get the occasional little gem.

My kids TV watching finished in 1971 which is when I started at secondary school and I didnt get home until after they had finished, so anything from the 70s onwards is after my time. I do vaguely recollect messy stuff on Crackerjack which must have been late 60s, but I was too young then to appreciate the special quality of an attractive lady being pied....Aint life shitty!

Can't believe we've all missed Cuddly Kenny Everett and his Video Show - mad as a bucket of frogs, and often took the piss out of his guests (who queued up to appear on the show) Cliff Richard was a regular. There was often a lot of slapstick humour - I think Terry Wogan got slimed, as well as this classic Christmas clip - Kenny's take on the 12 Days of Christmas with Cleo Rocos and Lenny Bennett (I think), don't know who the other lady is. Why aren't these shows repeated........?

It's Vicky Michelle most famously of 'Allo 'Allo and indeed many other David Croft and Jimmy Perry sitcoms (she was a regular caller at the door on NHP, too).

She confessed recently (on Top 100 Comedy Moments, or some such) that she had to visit the doctors after being mildly concussed by some of the heavier props that descended from above in this sketch.

On the subject of Kenny Everett, it's sad that he looks likely to be entirely forgotten within a generation. Let's hope not: his anarchic (and often downright obscure) style was probably ahead of its time in many ways (At the time a lot of it went right over people's heads). I think, had he survived, he would have experienced a greater degree of appreciation today and been just young enough to take advantage of it (he would now be in his late sixties).

To keep the forum educational as well as entertaining as per the BBC's remit, Kenny's show's were written by Barry Cryer and Ray Cameron (as well as himself). The latter was Michael McIntyre's Dad! I loved the anachy of these shows especially the early Thames series (without the studio audience).

Indeed.

I went to see Barry last year while he was touring with Colin Sell at the piano in their "still alive!" tour. Well worth seeing if you get the chance. He's well into his 80s now.

Barry Cryer never lets the grass grow under his feet does he? Now he's spanned a few generations.

He also does the after dinner circuit and has at least three books out - two of show biz anecdotes and one autobiography - which overlap considerably!

I`ve actually got that James Whale Show episode on video tape @ Trouso, I`m not into food fetish in the slightest, I used to watch/record it purely to get Kookie, she wasnt actually on that show unfortunately, but I kept the recording for some reason!

I`m just in the process of sorting my 100`s if VHS`s & found it, googled it, & stumbled on this forum as a result.

James Whale had a jab (not literally) at Bills nose, to which Bill replies his nose is his, but he borrowed his legs from a friend!

Heres a few pics, excuse the quality, CRT tellys & phone cameras dont work too well together...

Your not going to believe this, on the same tape theres another program that I dont recognise (says at the end its "Dial Midnight") with two women on stage, in PVC French Maids outfits playing with food, then covering some of the audience with it!!

I swear to God I`m not into food fetish, its just a weird coincidence!

Oh God. Haven't seen that since it happened back in about 1990! The comedy nose has now gone (as had the hair and most of the beard!).

Is this 'I Love...Roses'? - there's an article about them in Splosh 18(?) which mentions their appearance on this show.

I think it is, the audio is a recording played while they perform, they`re just mouthing the words as they are played, there was alot of "you`re a naughty boy, a naughty naughty boy" in the script..
