Is there a limit to what people will be gunged with??

Postby SploshMeNow » 11 Jul 2011, 23:11

tbh I would be prepared to get gunged with any foodstuffs or substances within reason...

Would also put myself up for a male version of Tigerr's 20 Messy Foods challenge

But please no one make that happen....
Thx

I don't know about a limit.

I like mud, shaving foam, methylcellulose slime.
If it's food, I prefer stuff that I'd be willing to eat. Savory or sweet makes no difference in the choice.

If it smells bad then I probably don't want to be around it, as I'm not interested in getting sick to my stomach from the stench.
Therefore rotten food, or any other vile smelling substance is where I'd cut off the list.
Plenty of people have different viewpoints on that as can be seen in the random manure thread that pops up from time to time. But that's not for me.

The only other things would be substances that can harm the skin or cause issues on sensitive parts. I.e. no hot sauce, used motor oil or any other slimy substance that could be health threatening.

Hope that answers your question the way you intended it.

Cheers

I think I would like to try extreme things but this may be linked to me liking to be dominated

Hi all!
No surprise to learn that there are virtually no limits to what I will get gunged with. For me the smell and mild humiliation is part of it. Having said that, if I'm at home, I do get a bit fussy about the house reeking for days after! Not good when the family turn up!
Incidentally hoping to have some time to do more piccies soon! So keep watching!

I think I remember you saying once that you'd used real sump oil. Is that correct? That must have taken days to wear off.

Wayyyyyyyyyyy back, we did play around (at Hayley's insistence) with some used sump oil and axle grease. Went through a lot of Swarfega afterwards!! And a certain lady had somewhat shorter hair for a while! Really not recommended. It doesn't even look as good as you'd imagine. You can fake it much better with either treacle and water or thick black Natrasol.

We find this is about the most interesting note that we have read. There seems to be a balance between being safe and that desire to take a risk with a material you have not seen being used before. We guess this brings that mild humiliation that Hayley refers to. We suppose also that taking a risk that results in having your hair cut is probably something you wouldn't want to repeat - but do you need to replicate that moment. What you wear comes into play - bikini or expensive outfit, either could bring that risk and so why fake a material either use it or don't.

I agree, mostly. To me the risk is part of the fun. I love wearing something precious and exposing it to the risk of possible destruction and I suppose the skin is the ultimate precious item. Having said that I have never gone much further than using gloss paint but if there are any females out there who want to take it further??????

Gloss Paint - sound risky, but in a strangely exciting way. We have thought that the dilemma of ruining good clothes or just going to swimwear (bikini or trunks) is an issue for debate and thought as the latter exposes your skin as you say a most precious thing - especially for the girls.

I suppose the answer is (within the limits of it not seriously harming yourself) – no, not really. But the experience can make a real difference when deciding to do it again or not?

There are certain things that I won’t use at home again because they are so difficult to clean up after, (such as flour and water mixtures, or fats - or gloss paint!) - although if I came across a large vat of them, I would still want to jump in just for the thrill (and hang the clean-up cost).

When wamming outside “on location”, then anything is pretty much fair game and it just the safety risk that I ultimately think about (I am sure most will admit, a certain amount of risk adds to the thrill, but there is a point where I have to consider it’s not worth it).

Everyone sets their own limits. You have to draw some lines so as not to damage your health or cause too much difficulty when cleaning up or disposing of the substance.

For instance, I won't use substances with lots of chemicals in, such as industrial paints (though kids' paints would be OK), or those needing harsh chemicals to remove as I have sensitive skin.

Most foodstuffs are good, even greasy or smelly ones, though I certainly prefer the fresh pudding varieties. Old foods have their place, too: the contents of the several days' old organic recycling bin down your knickers is a deliciously squidgy experience, and a bucket of mixed glop over your head the day after a splosh session is nice as it's separated out so you get slimy liquid first and thick sludge last. Both cold with an interesting aroma - but I appreciate that some people won't want that.

Much as I love jumping in the bath fully clothed I prefer natural water like dirty, peaty ponds and mud but not industrial site water, again because of pollutants/chemical hazards. And when outdoors you must watch out for dangers such as litter (broken bottles), metal posts, sharp sticks and similar.

I also love cowpats and would love to get all-over mucky in manure but I'm very conscious of bacteria and other hazards (E-coli anyone?) so that's probably just going to remain a dream scenario.

I'm beginning to sound like one of those old government public health adverts - "When out sploshing, boys and girls, always check for hazards. We all enjoy a jolly old pie in the face but not an accident. So make sure your messy session ends up in a nice hot bath, not down at the the horspital...!"

There's not much I wont use when shooting for my store, I did a session this afternoon. This has pretty much everything you could think of.

Here's a pic after 5mins, the scene went on for 51mins. So you can imagine the state at the end.

regards

Andy and the team.
