Hi there everyone!
To those who know me it's good to be back and for those who don't I'm looking forward to us getting to know each other!
As you will have seen Bill has welcomed me back into his posse of messy stars and so far I have been made very happy in my new home!
So what happened? Well I've read all the comments and speculation and there's elements of truth in most of what's been written. I'm not going to post mortem the past but the bottom line is I just could not find enough hours in the day to be a Mum, do my regular job and run a website. Something had to give and it was always going to be the website. Sure we had a spot of bad luck or two but nothinng we couldn't ride out. It was just a case of not enough hours immune day. So,
Hello from a long lost Princess, Wamprincess to be precise!
Re: Hello from a long lost Princess, Wamprincess to be preci
I packed up my costumes, CDs and dv tapes and retreated to wam towers where I have spent the last 2 years raising my two beautiful baby boys Charlie and Sam. But in my mind wamprincess never went away so when I had the time I got in contact with Bill to see if he would like to host my stuff. He was my first and only choice and luckily he said yes and here we are! I am delighted to be back here where I began and Bill has been lovely to me by letting me go at my own pace, doing all the hard work for me and being very patient if I don't reply to an email or text for a week or too!
I'm very interested to see how my stuff goes down here and if it's popular I will seriously think about doing some new stuff. I still have all my contacts and am still in close contact with Jason at Studio three so I could start again if the demand us there. Anyway I'm very happy to be back am looking forward to contributing to Splosh once again!
Love Clare Rose, wamprincess

Great to see you back!
I don't see why you didn't just give up the kids and the regular job
Glad things seem to be going better, hope you stick around!

You know what the crunch time came just as the credit crises hit and I decided to drop wamprincess in favour if a steady (if somewhat lower) income. Having one child by that point and a house it was the sensible thing to do but I almost binned my job to do the site full time. Who knows it could have really paid off or could have been a disaster. I had to much to loose to gamble on it so I played safe. Believe me though, much as I love them there have been times I would gladly have dropped the boys off at a handy orphanage!

WB. Glad you entrusted Bill with this stuff. Looking forward to that video he's working on. Hope all is well in your life.

On a totally obscure note my Butler has got a show on BBC 4 right now about the early indie scene. I am familiar with some of the names, Smiths etc (and last year I actually met Peter Hook from New Order) but some of the groups are new to me, Jesus and Mary Chain, they're a bit random arent they? Good though in a kind of daft shambles way. If anyones interested my favourite band of all time are Mansun, remember them?

I remember them but I prefer the Jesus and Mary Chain.

Kind regards, Spinynorman and Frilly

No sign of Mark E Smith anywhere in the show which is a bit odd but it was just an overview really. No mention of the Housemartins either who's genius I could see even as a 12 year old!

Keep your staff dusting away at your knick-knacks and uncovering more material for the site rather than working for BBC4. Much as I like their brand of obscure documentaries (Oooooh Family Guy tomorrow) I'm sure the world would rather see more of you and your royal mates in a mess.

The indie music programme mentioned above is repeated on BBC4 this evening and judging by the bands mentioned, is well worth a look!
Back to keeping this 'on topic' - the WAM Princess vid looks ace (& was definately not available from the original site) - I hope there's many more to come.
Great to see WAM Princess back and in good spirits!
