I've had a look into this now and the "i love splosh" account you are referring to is still there and belongs to you and not someone else. I've read the message you sent to Messmaster regarding the issue and if I can ever get hold of MM I'll alert him to it. It's most likely a password problem and can be easily resolved by MM. I've also noticed that you attempted to create a secondary account, "love to be sploshed", but have not yet verified it. Feel free to do so until we can resolve the problem with your first account.

So there's been some wannabe Del Boy's here, not kushti!!!

Regarding the worries of some here about the UMD's "intolerance" of the LGBT community, I myself have been posting on the UMD forums for a couple of years now and I have NEVER received even the slightest iota of abuse or negativity there. I always make it very clear that I'm a guy and no-one seems to have a problem with that at all. Even if another user makes a bit of a fuss about some "Male WAM" slipping into the main forum, the entire community usually swoops down on them and tells them to quit blubbing!
The worst I've ever had was when a guy was e-mailing me what were clearly chat up lines, so I put him straight on my gender.
His reply? - "Oops. Sorry!"

Lol. Lucky you for being able to pass so well. I'll never be able to do that!

Wow - from what you say, it sounds like it really has changed since the bad old days then! That's great to hear!

Mind you, other than responses to producers' promos, there doesn't really seem to be that much forum chat going on there these days, or so it seems from looking at it now. As a more regular user, do you find that to be the case? I always find that UMD is somewhere to go to see "what's out there" in terms of material whereas this forum is where you come for a chinwag.

Yes, we are lucky. It is precisely because UMD is already there doing the big stuff (like having the pros putting their promos on it, running download stores for everyone etc) that we can be more like a little local pub where likeminded people go for a gossip. That was always our idea because we knew that UMD had everything else covered. That's why I get annoyed with the pro producers bump their stuff, promote old material they have promoted before, use 'cheerleaders'' (people to bump them etc) and don't contribute to proper posts. It's the equivalent of putting giant illuminated billboards up in a country boozer! Of course, some advertising is good and informative and I am not rejecting it. But pros should never forget this place is here to be entertaining not just to sell things. We're a pub not a supermarket!

Well said landlord!

I rarely spend much time in local pubs these days but I believe that the landlord has the power to eject anyone he doesn't like, without giving reasons and without any 'come-back'.
Bottoms Up!

I actually started a thread on this about 3 years ago about the commercialization of forums. Even being a producer myself, I find that a simple discussion board gets overwhelmed with lots of commercial stuff. This did not seem evident a half a decade ago where there weren't many content producers but now everyone and their mother are making clips. I would think that eventually what you would see is a shift to where 100 percent commercial stuff will be on one board and another will just cater to discussion only. But I guess that could be wishful thinking. :)

We have considered that idea. But at present I think people like a forum to be a mix of content both pro and am so we stay like this for now. Unless you all want to tell me different.

Well, first the supermarket, to get all the nasty sticky stuff, and I'm sure there will be some time left to drop by at the pub!

I think we have established that both forums (fora?) have their uses.
