Thighboots in mud

I have trashed my thighboots in the mud.Last wk i was checking out a spot close to home.It was barley deep enough.But broke the heels.So i going to do another shoot of me pied & gunged but the boots are going to get it as well.How do you guys not trash them ?How long do they last with food & mud.Altyernate footware are doing thighboots for £35 if any one is thinking of getting some.

Mud does have a habit of trashing them, I've managed to only ruin one pair though and they were on their way out anyway... I'm not sure if it's just luck really! x

Yes last summer tried a pond which had dried to black thick mud.I took one step .Up to my waist in the mud .Its was great i could hardly move as i struggled i sank a little further.That was the end of those boots.I have some new ones now.I will be getting pied in those as well as soon as weather is wamer!

Alternative Footwear are really nice in my experience... great service, fabulous prices, and a decent range of sizes to choose from. I might just have to treat myself... about time I got back into the mud in high high boots
