Pleeeeease, Mr Postman....where's my outfit?

Postby Hayley » 12 Dec 2010, 12:55

Hello again!

Yes, I know, I haven't been posting much over the last few weeks/months but life has been a bit hectic. I won't bore you now with my work problems (mainly down to the man I work for retiring this Christmas) but it does look like I may be around here a bit more next year. I also have a new camera. My trusty little Panny died in the summer and I stupidly left it with a mate who said they could 'mend' it whilst I was away. Many months later, he had got nowhere with it so I now have another one, and will be all ready to take more silly pix in 2011.

In fact, I am hoping to do some for Christmas and have bought something 'festive' on Ebay to mess up specially BUT it's stuck in the mail! The website won't let me track it, their phoneline has a recorded message and sadly I'm not in all-day during the week to receive it. Sooooooooo, lets hope I can get it before the end of the week so I can give myself a good messing up for Xmas. It's been aaaages!! And it's just what I need right now.

I'm sorry for letting you down during the year but nobody's more disappointed than me. Here's hoping next year will be a fun (if not financially fruitful!) one. In the meantime...

Mr Postman look and see
If there's an outfit in your bag for me.
Pleee-eee-ee-ease, Mr Postman...

That's enough Karen Carpenter!

Long awaited squishy kisses

I thought it was the Beatles with that song..?

Wait, oh yes wait a minute mister postman
Wait, wait mister postman

Mister postman look and see
If there's a letter in your bag for me
I been waiting such a long time
Since I heard from that girl of mine

There must be some word today
From my girlfriend so far away
Please mister postman look and see
If there's a letter, a letter for me
I been standing here waiting mister postman
So patiently
For just a card or just a letter
Saying she's returning home to me

Please Mr. Postman, look and see
If there's a letter, oh yeh for me,
I've been waiting, a long long time
Since I've heard from that girlfriend of mine.

So many days you passed me by
See the tear standing in my eye
You didn't stop to make me feel better
By leaving me a card or a letter

You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta check it and see, one more time for me

Wait
Wait
Wait
Deliver the letter, the sooner the better

Wait

I thought the Caren Carpenter one was a bit wooden

I think sex is better than logic
but I can't prove it.

Karen Carpenter definitely did a cover version.

Anyway, it's not just Postman Prat who is playing up. I've been waiting for a delivery from the Home Delivery Network (£5 for 'next day delivery') for a week now. Unless they are routing everything through a hub in Scotland I don't see how they can blame the bad weather as they are. Grrr. Sigh etc

Really hope it turns up in time. You are well overdue a good messing up!

I've been waiting nearly a fortnight for an outfit to be delivered to me (of course, they helped themselves to the money without delay...)

Mine arrived at 8.30pm last night - along with parcels for half my road which I took in cos otherwise the owners won't see them before Christmas.

Today I've been also served. Even it's just some building kits for my scenery of my railroads, waiting takes so long...
