So What Did You Wear for Halloween (Off Topic)

Postby BillShipton » 03 Nov 2010, 13:12

Go on, you know you want to tell everyone!

Here in Hastings & St Leonards for some reason Halloween has become enormous with just about everybody dressed up in the pubs. My own local was packed solid on two nights with so many fancy dressed customers dancing either to the band or the disco it looked more like Michael Jackson's Thriller video. Lots of women looked gorgeous in PVC whilst lots of women who normally look gorgeous looked horrific in elaborate face make-up (the effort they went to was enormous).

Me? Well I won the prize for being the person asked "And what are you meant to be?" most often. I dyed my hair and beard both nights (blue/green on Friday, purple on Saturday) and attempted to look like a blood stained nurse (mistaken for Sweeney Todd) on the Friday and a witch on Saturday (which was wrong frankly on many levels).

So what did you do or dress as?

Stories and pictures here, please!

Errrm, actually I didn't dress up at all, various reasons for me not going out last weekend, lack of money and my mate being on holiday being only two of them!
I didn't see many people dressed up at all while travelling around, either Friday or Saturday evening. There were a few basic costumes like you buy in cheap shops but nothing elaborate, nothing worth even a second glance while waiting at the traffic lights. In the past I have seen some fantastic costumes, but not this year.
We'll have to drink our way out of this

Not on Halloween, but the night before. Quite an interesting party, even ended up with some unexpected clairvoyance!!!!

And yes, I did get told I looked better with the mask!!!

I hate parties so I didn't go to a Halloween party. However I was dragged (kicking and screaming  ) to the sixth birthday of my partner's grand-daughter - Bah, humbug!! It turned out to be a witches coven of five little girls in pointy hats and a little boy who seemed rather bewildered by the proceedings. Trying to make the best of it I chatted to the other adults and found I was quite enjoying myself :) despite my reservations about children .
Suddenly I got dragged away and later, in the car, was informed by my partner that she had fallen out with her son's mother-in-law! I wasn't very pleased because I had been engaged in a very interesting conversation with the father-in-law about Irish narrow gauge railways in the 1930s :D .
So its true that evil stalks the land at this time of year   !

(Sorry to go off the topic :? of an off topic thread  )
Bottoms Up!

I went as a cat in a black full pvc catsuit, cat ears, tail and painted kitty whiskers and nose :)
When we got to the pub most the girls were dressed as very cute witches :P who all wanted to take a little kitty home *grins*
I love Halloween! :P

Thanks, Bill. Not a bad costume for an eBay purchase. I did think of going as a skeleton, but I would not have any body to go with!!!!

Sophie - I bet you looked purr-fect!!!
