New, improved car park arrangements.

Rather than turn right into the multi-storey car park on Rupert Street, turn left into Bridewell Street, left into Nelson Street, right into Halifax Street and into the multi-storey on All Saints' Street - only £5 for the whole day, and closer than the other one.

To get to the bar, from All Saints' Street, turn right into Pithay, right into Tower Lane, left into Newmarket Avenue, and right onto Broad Street - the bar is a few yards down on the right.

Thanks to Jonn for the map.

Any more for dinner?

Mike.

Hi All,

See you in a few hours time, for a good five hours of chat, drink, food, drink, photos, drink, laughs, drink - oh, and did I mention we might have the odd drink?

Teetotallers are also welcome, as is anyone who cares to drop in, whether we know you're coming or not, so go on - surprise us, and yourselves; I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Look out for the local map on the table, the colourful 'local' t-shirt, and the card for everyone to sign.

Wahey! I think I may hold the record for the shortest attendance ever, totalling less than twenty minutes, but it was good to see everyone there! I'll probably see a bunch of you at the next London meet :D

The roll-call for the Bristol Splunch looks like this: -

Mike Nomic
Sploshman
Richard (sotonude)
Exastris
Eden
Jon42
Piemaster
Jonn (yamtree)
Danika
Jonny
Nina
Aufpet
Rubbmuder
Skitty-Kitty
Thrillseeker
Gungemegood
Wamadeus - really good to see you back in circulation.

The card and some photos of the likely-looking crew will hopefully be available shortly.

It was great to see so many there, both old and new faces, and sad to note that a number couldn't make it due to ill-health or ill-wealth or 'issues' with baby-sitters, and I trust that those that were there had a good time.

The mud on Sunday was excellent, and I hope to have some pictures of that available very soon.

I'm glad everyone had a nice time in the mud and am very disappointed that I didn't make it yesterday. I decided to get a late train down which, halfway there, was terminated, and I was privvy to a "rail replacement service" (bus) that would have rolled into Temple Meads some time between half past four and five. No offence intended to anyone there, but I didn't really want to spend an hour in Bristol before getting back on a cramped bus for a three hour journey back. Urgh. :(

It was good to see everyone at the Splunch saturday and cool that no one was freaked out at me being dressed. Sorry I couldn't stay longer and come to the meal. Maybe next time

Can I thank everyone who gave money for my cancer run too and Mike for prompting everyone to do so. I think I got £63.40 which was great.

I would like to thank Mike for all his hard work organising the meet and the meal afterwards. Its a pity that the attendance was rather less than expected but i think that those who did make it had a good time. I'm working on the photos and will post some of the less awful ones later today.

Rich.

p.s. Can I also thank Jon and Eden for assisting me to find the hotel and reassure them that I managed the last few yards on my own. I think they were worried I'd end up sleeping in a gutter somewhere if not falling in the river!
