Hello all,
We are attending Prestatyn carnival in North wales next saturday with our wooden stocks, for custard pie throwing and wet sponges, if you fancy coming along and going in the stocks and have some custard pies thrown at you all you will have to do is make a £10 charity donation on the day and we will throw some custard pies at you!
I shall be taking my turn in the stocks dressed up in a nurses uniform so if your not brave enough to have pies thrown at you come along and throw them at me - all money to charity!
Please remember its a public carnival and there will be loads of people there and you MUST contact me before you turn up and ill give you exact details, i am fully covered by public liability insurance to do these events - Look out for future postings now as the Gunge tank is going to be out and about very soon!!
Thanks

Sounds fun. After our fun with pies in the stocks at the pub on Wednesday I was surprised how well it went down with the 'general public'. Prestatyn is a long way though - even to revisit my North Welsh roots!

Your right Bill - the general public do love it i must say - i usually dress up as a nurse and its all for charity too and you want to see the look on some peoples faces, they cant wait to get a custard pie to throw at me when im locked in the stocks! Especially women! I put it down to the old days when Tiswas was on tv, and now you dont see custard pie throwing - so when the oportunity arises everybody wants a go!!

I love seeing people pied and sploshed in the stocks.... am yet to try it myself, but just seeing the vids and pics is good for me. Its a shame the stocks aren't used more often in wam... or at least if they are used often, the pics posted for us all to see..... Good luck bringing back the good old fashioned pie throw...
