Thank you very much for posting this very scientific video for all of us to learn from. I would now like to see the same experiment carried out with a non-Newtonian substance (I propose custard).

Wat(er) load of education! I had to dive in and watch it twice to understand it fully, but I guess that's my thirst for education. I bet the clip gets a flood of views.

Bad choice... Custard is a dilatant fluid, i.e. thickens with stress, so might simply bounce off. What is required here is the opposite of custard, a substance with shear thinning properties.
That's right, what we need here is Ketchup.

Geek note: I remembered that ketchup is the physics opposite of custard, but in looking up the terms I was impressed by the smorgasbord of wam substances that are non newtonian.
