Hi All,

See you in about two hours time, for a good five hours of chat, drink, food, drink, photos, drink, laughs, drink - oh, and did I mention we might have the odd drink?

Teetotallers are also welcome, as is anyone who cares to drop in, whether we know you're coming or not, so go on - surprise us, and yourselves; I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Look out for the local map on the table, the colourful 'local' t-shirt, and the card for everyone to sign.

Mike.

Have a good time, everyone. Have to stay here to look after my naked house (currently devoid of rendering so it's the only red-brick one on the seafront) and protect my skip from arseholes putting mattresses in it! Will be thinking of you in the pub.

Just be grateful it doesn't turn up inside a 2CV!

The roll-call for the Bristol Splunch looks like this: -

Mike Nomic
Sammy-Jane
Aufpet
Eden
Jon42
Gungemegood
Joluvspiesngunge
Jonn
Jonny
Matt
Messy-Jessie
Nina
Richard
Slime2008
Thrillseeker
Leonmoomin
Lisamoomin
Shell
Dave

The card and some photos of the likely-looking crew will hopefully be available shortly.

It was great to see so many there, both old and new faces, and sad to note that a number couldn't make it due to ill-health or ill-wealth, and I trust that those that were there had a good time - including watching the latest Mostwam shoot which should be up on their site on Monday I believe. Some people in that part of Bristol will probably never be the same again!

The mud on Sunday was excellent, and I hope to have some pictures of that available in a week or two.

Another mud cherry was lost, and again I hope everyone had a good time.

Blimey, just got home from a stonking weekend.

Firstly, big ups to Mike for again organising it - Bristol is now 5 splunches old, and now growing rapidly!

And well, the Moomins turned up, and when they do, well they cause a commotion! Pure WTF looks from the bystanders, but the lads from the pub ran out, complete with pint to have a gork!

Good scran in the Italian, like I said to Jon (other half of Eden) I can't think of Italian Restuarants without thinking of some mafiosi taking my round the back to give me a mission to "whack" someone. Damn you Grand Theft Auto. Its also the first splunch I've ate at - the last two times when we had other venue, first time was losing the car park, and 2nd time to power failure so to eat something to supp up all that ale was most welcome.... as was the hotel booked - a two second stumble from pub to hotel! Miss Jojo was rather pleased!

And my first experience of the living on the edge - the mud shoot... the girls were happy with the cool mud today, whereas us guys were getting a visit from Ms B Swallocks.

August 21st, is the provisional date with fate for Splunch 6. Bring it on.

Another great meet with lots of new folks to meet, a special mention for Slime 2008, joluvspiesngunge and NINA as well as the usual suspects.
@ Jon42, thanks for your navigational skills through the Avon Gorge diversions and just be glad you weren't with me from the mud venue; I got lost several times and even failed to notice Winchester on my way back to Southampton! almost ending up in Basingstoke
Only one complaint which I will take up with the management - I got quite badly sunburnt watching the mud escapades!
Bottoms Up!
