I hadn't realised it was going to be a cannibal feast :o . Have you decided who we will be eating? I'm much too old and stringy, that is probably also true of yourself so I think we'll have to select a tender young female :D. Perhaps a BBQ down by the river?

Maybe she should hold you to it or there'll be trouble.

Can't make the dinner ... so you won't be there for the drinks and chat in the afternoon either?

Transport to Bristol is called a train ... there's lots of them. Buy a ticket, but be early, or we'll be out and about enjoying the mud.

Now if only I'd started a book on whether or not you'd make it, and if you did, at what time ...

Don't worry Row, just send your nubile young representative (gf) along armed with plenty of cash to buy drinks for the rest of us and we'll promise we won't miss you at all! :P

Yes, we'll send her back to you pre-muddied and ready-sploshed ... you won't have to break her in.

She can do that and i wouldn't bloody mind :D.

Unfortunately, no i can't make the drinks, chat and dinner now which i'm VERY gutted about :(.

Yes, i know there's train transport to Bristol, Mike ;).

But seeing as you lot always leave so early (usually) to get the mud spot on the Sunday. I'm wondering if i'll/we'll be able to get there in time before you guys get off (weather permitting).

I've just checked the earliest train time on the Sunday to get to Bristol from London and it's 10:15. Is that too late to make it down??.

If so i'll get a mate to give me (and my possible female mate) a lift down earlier.

...you can still get your bet book out Mike :P

Rich, she isn't my gf lol and remember i've told her about you already so you would have to be on best behaviour :P.
As for the drinks.....she's an Aussie anway so you don't have to worry about that bit :D.

.....sounds like a good idea to me LOL. Im not complaining :D

Looks 75/25 that she'll be coming with me now. Just see what happens in the next few weeks :)

The first train from Paddington to Bristol Parkway on 23/05/10 is 08.03, arriving 09.48.

Christ, you're not even sure that "she" is definitely a woman.

So a 3:1 chance of her accompanying a 50:50 (at best) attendee ... that approximates to roughly four-fifths of five-eighths of f*ck all chance of you both turning up. Where's my book?

She could be an Aboriginal ... or native Australian, if that's the (currently) politically correct phrase.

Before Row hijacks the thread with his old woman dithering about his young woman! Pasties forboding, count me in for din dins... seeing as I missed the last one due some unforeseen circumstances, i.e being jobless !

"As for the drinks.....she's an Aussie anway so you don't have to worry about that bit ."

We are not expecting a young lady on her first visit to buy a full round out of her own pocket, we were hoping for the one you promised in 'nineteen hundred & frozen to death'
