By huge public demand - well, two people at the Bristol Splunch - the blog is back at www.splosh.co.uk/blog
As well as the full story of Day 1 of the Splunch, there are some preview pics from the film we are currently editing, Snow White and the Seven Buckets starring the lovely Scarlet! As you will see from them, it will be worth saving up for!
Any ideas how we can make the blog as interesting as possible (without it clashing with the forum) much appreciated.

Re: The Blog is Back!
Thanks for writing about your day out in Bristol. You have a great writing style and a unique topic to write about, so there's no need to worry about not being interesting.

On the professional front, Andy brought his workmate Jammed whose lovable dumb puppy looks hide the fact that he is really a sharp-brained businessman. No, I'm lying. This was a man who accidentally locked into his own toilet for 45 minutes that morning.
Genius! We need you up at the Northern meet this year to lend your wit and charm

Well, Josie tells me on Facebook that she is very keen on attending one in the Sheffield area so perhaps one could be sorted there?

Re: The Blog is Back!
Since our initial idea for the forum was to be 'as much like a chat in the pub as possible', perhaps your bits on the blog could be like the rants you do in the pub when something has amused or annoyed you! The bit about the Splunch was a mild form of that but when you are in full flow it IS funny - somewhere between Victor Meldrew and David Mitchell. It might help get it out of your system too and make you less grumpy when visitors come (lol).
See you on Sunday!

Re: The Blog is Back!
I agree with Hay, then add some of the character from the Blog into the video's, thus a link from from one to the the other. Thats all everydoy saw last sat, that was not the real me! the real me likes to watch a movie or read a book! But if I blogged it would be a thousand miles an hour, as per character.
Do it in the style of Vizz piss take, then it would be well funny, tweaked in your own Shiptonoski style. Worth thinking about.

Re: The Blog is Back!
That is similar to what happens on my Facebook page, Andy, except there is no alter-ego these days, this is what I'm like all the time! There I share incidents from both 'real life' (ie the pub) and sploshworld for an audience of both pubmates and sploshers and it seems to work. The pub people find it fun and the sploshers like the fact that non-sploshers accept it as ok - and in some cases have started sploshing as well! The problem with Facebook is the lack of space and their intolerance to anything they decide is too rude, so the blog could do the FB stuff and more. At the moment the idea is...
1) Behind the scenes stories of the Splosh! and Gilly shoots, things to look out for etc. Reminscences of old shoots, people etc
2) Stories of everyday life (ie the pub) which is far from dull as anyone who has been will tell you. It might also get some of pubgoers to read it.
3) Random thoughts/gags that come to mind and normally get put in a notebook ready for when I pluck up the nerve to do a stand up routine at the local comedy club and are currently wasted.
4) Photos of all these things.
It sounds a bit Me-orientated at present but I shall try and make it as much about others as possible. I would also like it to be a bit mischievous, like the report on the Splunch was. Don't worry that includes plenty of self deprecation as well! Also if people want to PM me stories for the blog they'd be very welcome.
Miss Helen once said that he thought of me as Bob Hoskins in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, surrounded by cartoon characters who may or may not exist. Then he came down here, as have others, and found that it was all real! My life is exactly like that and I am very grateful. Perhaps now is a good time to share it!!

Re: The Blog is Back!
I thought the idea of a blog was to be 'me-orientated' i.e. the blogger's personal view of the world and only about other people where they interact with the blogger.
(actually I am a cartoon character and don't exist at all, but don't tell anybody)

Bottoms Up!
