Heres the next episode & its true.
"I cant get in that" i said "it looks like cow manure."
"It is" she said,"my girl friend runs a cow farm a short distance away & she had to fill the pond with slurry as her farm pit was overflowing"
"Shes actually looking for help on the farm why dont we go & see her shes only on the other side of these woods?"
"but im only wearing your knickers" i said
"She wont mind come on lets go"
We walked to the back of the farm & met this strick looking 40 year old.
"I run this farm on my own & i do need help" she said.
"Its the slurry pit,cow shed & field mucking tanker that need sorting out,can you help?"
"What now,what about my clothing?"
"knickers r probably the best thing to wear given your jobs"
My aunt left & i was led away for my first job.
"I want you to get inside the muck spreading tanker & left me know how many feet of slurry is inside" she said
there was laddder to a hole in the top
i then lowered myself in striaght into the slime.
"Its about 3 feet "i said
"Ok stay in there i need to fill it with another couple of feed, hold this pipe"
I held the pipe & within 30 seconds more slurry poured with force making me fall over & immerse myself in the steaming muck.

OK, there is interest, but... could you please keep it to one topic? We don't need 20 topics detailing how you got covered in manure for the first time, it makes it more difficult for people to read it.
You could of course just post the whole thing at once rather than writing a paragraph and waiting for comments before posting the next one.

I agree with Mattbuck. One thread only would be better.

Over on UMD they are all getting their communal knickers wonderfully twisted about some site claiming that chocolate looks like shit

Sorry but this seemed like the quickest thread to post it on.

The Reading Room is probably the best place for stories of this sort. We are all aware of the dangers and it is right to point them out now and again however quicksand and deep mud can be dangerous too and I dare say so can lots of things. It is up to the individual whether to try them or not.

I live on a farm & agree with messy farmer.Slurrypits are very dangerous,do not even think about it.We had to resucue cattle from them ,Its a very distressing sight.Let a alone have to resuce any of u fellow sploshers. Please just dig u pit in ur garden & fill it with clay
