Each to their own. I'm not a fan of pies but many are. Obviously we can't condone anything considered legal in any person's particular jurisdiction, but apart from that, I let people get on with it :)

Let’s try to thing of some challenging gunges that do not involve hurting animals or, for that matter, endanger health eg facial contact with excrement or estuarine mud.

Hey, if I was a bug I think I'd prefer contact with warm human bodies to a bunch of other stuff. Like being doused with organophosphates, electrocuted, squashed, digested, eaten by animals further up the food chain or generally left to rot away.

Also, smelly mud is the best and I haven't died of it. Each to her/his own, really..

Love the sound of this thread but don't think it will be possible.

Maggots £3 a pint, a lot of pints in a bath.
Worms even more expensive £6 for a 100, again far to expensive.

You could bread your own maggots and a bath of fish guts left in the sun would soon be a writhing mass of maggots and smelly slim fish guts but the stench of ammonia would be overpowering on the point of dangerous.

Worms would be possible if you have cow sheds nearby. The floor is usually heaving with red worms in a very liquid cow shit. When fishing I have collected several gallons this way and they were free as the owner just saw you as a hire hand to help clean up.

Big garden worms can be collected off a lawn at night but you have to be very quick to catch them and unless you have access to a lot of short grass you will never catch enough.

Got to admit it sounds a lovely idea laying in a bath of slimy bugs, it would be like a living massage. Completely submerged with the bugs accessing your whole body at once. Good luck with your quest and would love to see the results. Perhaps something a little less ambitious like in your panties and bra and over your head would be possible.

I used to have similar reservations about estuarial mud, until it was pointed out to me recently that it is bathed in salt water twice a day, and therefore far less unpleasant or dangerous than might be thought.

the reason this forum is the best , is no one judges you, i realise not everything everyone does is to everyone else's taste, but lets not condemn. ive alredy felt i should remove pics as they caused offence, this was never intentional.
im sure we all enjoy the clean aspect of splosh, nothing beats a good custard bath, but some of us want to try new and 'different' things.
live and let live.
go where the mood takes you.
a suitable warning in the title of pics, should give an indication of content, and in the words of various sports commentators, if you dont want to know... look away now, or even dont look at all.
i dont think ive harmed any maggot whilst its been wriggly round me knickers, but if i have i apologise.

I would certainly agree with the above - let people try whatever they like so long as it isn't actually life threatening. And whilst I like to think I am relatively kind to wildlife, maggots and worms etc seem to be in plentiful supply so I'm wouldn't rush to take one to the vets if it got hurt. I mean where do you draw the line? Save the Fly teeshirts? Bacteria Sanctuaries? Can you find a loving owner for these homeless pubic lice?

I know where I draw the line. I have killed many a worm in the course of digging the garden, unfortunate accidents all. And I kill clothes moths because they are a nuicance. But I would not deliberately squash any creature for entertainment, and I hope I do not have to see any pictures of any.

It is with the greatest trepidation that I ask how anyone might know this.
