Any ideas?

Mike.

Yep, fixed that now I hope! You only got an error when you tried to view someones profile that someone else had already looked at! (I think). Let me know if it still doesn't work.

Surprise for me too! :-) I'm delighted to say that, so far, it seems to have cured the weird problem that only I seemed to have - namely only serving part posts in a thread and shrinking the pic size down to thumbnails. Hurrah! Well done pup!

I see that some of the announcements/stickies from the top of the page (for instance, the one about not posting underage pictures/links) have disappeared.
Can they be recovered?

I have edited the announcements/stickies into the ones you see there now. So the advice about not posting underage pics is in the announcement about posting pictures where it should be. It only had a separate thread cos of one incident that was no longer relavant, so there is no need to retrieve anything.

If you read the posting pictures announcement mentioned above, it explains the new way to post pics. Actually it isn't new at all, the only change is the wording on the button you press.

Everyone is entitled to like/dislike the new look. Disliking change just because it is different though is silly.

To be honest, I assumed you were joking, Eden. Anyone who decides to bugger off to Canada for the winter can't be afraid of change! It's the old farts moaning that annoy me. Ok, not everything is in the same place but it is all there...I think.

Doesn't really make any difference to me as I still hadn't worked out how to use the old forum features, so I might as well learn with this new one, it'll just take some getting used to as the only bits I knew about have moved around a bit! (make of that statement whatever you want!! )

I'm not having any problems, its the failure of the modern education system that I blame for youngsters not being able to adapt  . I did point out one fault which Muckypup immediately corrected but otherwise I like the new layout. :!:

I think most things are the same but in different places or given new names.

Incidentally, we didn't do it out of spite or as some 'corporate rebranding exercise' but because the old forum was no longer being supported by the makers so we had to update it to their new one.

Muckypup has run away for the weekend to recouperate after sorting out the niggles (and my panic attacks) but will be back on Monday to answer any other questions.

If you have any complaints about the colour scheme, that's down to me.

Bill

PS I am not making any ageist jokes as frankly I was happy with the old one as well but needs must.... (oh and I prefer reading mags to websites!)
