Can you think of a cheeky name for the doc??

Postby Curiousholly » 18 Jan 2009, 20:05

Hello all,

Was wondering if people could post some suggestions of what you think I should call the documentary (see wam documentary post if you don't know what I am talking about.)

Needs to be a fun name no more than 4 words long - the shorter the better, plays on words and cheeky puns very welcome!!!!!

Hmmm.... tricky.

Maybe "You missed a spot"... or something like that. "You've got something in your hair" is a bit too long probably.

Great shame about the four-word limit - is this cast in stone?

Otherwise 'That's another fine mess you've got me into' would seem to fit the bill.

Check your pm's.

I'm sure 'It's a dirty business' has been used before somewhere... How about something like 'Mucky devils' or 'Messing about'? 'Filthy Habits'?

Of course Bill is the master of the punning title...

Henry

PS How about 'Good Clean Fun'?

Ah,

I like "A Trifle Messy" (without the sploshing bit because I think that makes it less of a mystery)

I was thinking of having a big print out of the title and then having a pie thrown at it. but - in this case - a trifle?

Alternatively i was thinking of having a close up of some ones face and then, when they are pied the title is on the bottom of the plate!

What do you think? That isn't a final decision though so don't stop thinking!!!!

Thankyou all!

Purely for academic purposes, I had a glance over the covers of the Splosh! magazines. Maybe one of the following would work?

A Trifle Messy.
Sticky Buns.
Pied and Prejudiced.
For a Few Dollops More.

Do you have any particular substances that are mentioned a lot in the video? Sometimes one particular type of food can be very good inspiration for a pun.

Ok, this might seem like a shameless self-promotion and lord knows I am usually good for a pun or three, but for now, given your opening sequence idea, I'll add my two-penneths worth ( of tuppeny rice-pudding ? ) into the hat, which I am throwing into the ring . . . . next to the gauntlet you have laid down . . . ahem, anyway, I digress . . . here is my suggestion.

' Fun ? Easy As Pie . . . '

** cue pie hitting title board **

Well, if we're doing film titles....

"Pie Hard" -

"Flans, trans and naughty mobiles" sounds too contrived.

Then, there's Bill's T-Shirt slogan which could be shortened to "[I get] Custardy at weekends" - might be good to get Bills approval there.

"Food for thought", perhaps - but probably too staid a title.
It wasn't that long ago that I'd punch someone in the face when they pissed me off; now I just delete them from Facebook - that'll show the mother-fuckers...
