Is PLain Flour okay to use

Postby treacleman » 08 Jan 2009, 19:24

I am planning a sploshing session and would like to use real messy and gooey/sticky stuff but I don't want to have major problems cleaning us up.

Obviuosly substances like used motor oil and grease would be bad so I was thinking about cooking oil or margerine with Treacle and milk and flour but someone told me that flour was very difficult to get out of hair. Is this the case?

Flour turns into a glue-y substance when it gets wet and it sticks to hair pretty nastily! Luckily we've only used batter, etc, in our nether regions so we just had a trim afterwards! But plenty of people use it and don't seem to be bald afterwards.

last time i used flour i had tiny clumps of it caught in my hair(even bodyhair). took a very painful hour of showering to get it all out. same thing happened when i used pancake batter too. Be careful!

Dont even think it.... well actually thinking is fine but I would suggest you dont go ahead with it though. It can be errr "tricky"

flour and water or even some batter will stick like crazy in these annoying little globs.... and you cant feel it while its wet so you think its all out but no, it sticks in any hair, including head and body hair

it can be combed out of head hair with plenty of conditoner and a fine tooth comb though - ive done it many a time! I wouldnt fancy trying to get it off any body hair though so my advice would be shave it all off first if you have any!

Flour's fine when dry and not too bad is totally absorbed by treacle but with water, milk or eggs it can be horrible to remove.

A full smooth peanut butter hair massage has helped flour out of my hair after a sploshing session... im not sure why but it really does help :D
I dont use flour often now but in my early days i used a lot of flour based slimes which i wouldnt recomend because even after a bath or 6!!! lol the flour tightens up on you skin while you dry and feels prickly and scratchy...
But sometimes worth it :) :) :) lol

Thanks for all the advice. It certainly looks like I do not use flour. It is just that when you see people getting egged and floured on their birthday or pre-wedding it looks fun. Any ideas what would lookk/feel like flour but be easier to get out of hair?

Dry icing sugar powder is a good alternative. It just melts out.
I hope you have lots of fun.

Indeed icing sugar is a soft safe option, but I never was soft and safe!

My experience of flour is that providing it is mixed in well with a load of other sploshy gunge then it will wash out okay with hot water. But it needs PLENTY of other goo to absorb it. Mix it well in and it should be fine

Doesn't that defeat the object though? Surely the appeal of flour is to have it descending on the 'victim' in a big white cloud. If its mixed in with lots of other stuff, all it does is thicken the mixture, admittedly desirable but achievable by other means.
Bottoms Up!
