Total Wipeout

Just a quick heads up for all you mud/water fans - Total Wipeout starts tonight on BBC 1 at 6:10pm and looks like the obstacle course involved has lots of water and mud :)

I live in Belgium and I don't know this show so I haven't seen it but I founs these clips on youtube:

I think that mud is excellent. If I played that game I would stay in the mud.
What a shame though that they are wearing those vests but if you see the obstacle course I think it's necessary.
One life, live it!

I was pleasantly surpised (much better than Hole in the Wall) though the padded vests spoil it a bit (but are essential).

I also like the fact that they are recruiting all sorts of people (ie sizes and ages) not just athletes. Makes Krypton Factor look a bit sad.

The Krypton Factor was an epic programme though, with the flight simulator rounds... not to mention the really bad hair if you catch reruns of it now...

We get Wipeout here too, it's pretty much the same thing but with less Richard Hammond voiceovers. All good entertainment, perhaps a little more entertaining when you see some of the contestants over here, I can't imagine the British version have people that are quite as over the top on it.

Krypton Factor has relaunched over here and is rather earnest (with no big hair or flight simulators though a slightly muddy obstacle course).

Loathed as I am to admit it, Richard Hammond improves Total Wipeout no end cos he sends it up along with the competitors. UK attempts at trash talking are indeed very silly.
