Believe that when I see it stuck in Regent St.

The Routemaster should live forever! It is a fine vehicle. If I had space I'd buy one.

And so have many others...

I think half of the Radio 2 news team own one - Well Ken Bruce and Charles Nove.

If you think we can get a bit obsessive about our "interest" then check out:

... some lovely buses that bring back happy memories. I used to go to school in Teddington and caught the No 27, which I believe was an AEC Regent and the route Matt Monroe used to drive.

and finally... where would be without the inter-web, there's even a Wiki entry on the Route 27; which includes this interesting fact: "The route was cut back to Richmond on Mondays to Fridays in 1970, with a new localised 270 (which later became the R70) replacing the service to Teddington, although the weekend service continued to run through until 1982." I actually found this entry interesting.

I must spend less time with people my own age.

For the information of the bus lovers amongst us, there is a tribute programme on ITV1 this Thursday evening at 10-40pm. Unfortunately I shall miss it as I'll be doing something else at the time :D . (Wish I could remember what  ).
Bottoms Up!

No, it was my fault. I left the computer signed in as me at the weekend and he obviously didn't notice. bit stressed is Bill at the moment!

I'd love to see him fit into a size 10! On second thoughts...

Trust everyone is getting their fill of nostalgia with today's TV bumper On the Buses fest (ITV3).
