Bristol Splunch guest list

Postby Mike Nomic » 26 Jul 2008, 14:32

With almost exactly three weeks to go until we're finishing our first bowl of excellent chips (with garlic mayonnaise) and draining the first of many pints, I thought I'd do a round-up of those that will be there or that hope to be there.

Confirmed:

Aufpet
Candy Custard
Dirtydids
Driversoft
Jonny
Richard(sotonude)
Wamadeus - currently in the lead for furthest distance travelled :)
... oh, yes, and me of course.

Hopeful:

Creamkate
Easy_as
Pleasepiememistress
Slimeysophie
Smiley
Thrillseeker
Henry Wilcox

Fifteen then at the moment; almost twice as many as last time and there may be others who like last time turned up unannounced, and were very welcome.

I'm sure the bar will hold more than that so don't be shy.

For those that are coming, please let me know if you want to stay around for the meal in the evening so that how know how large a table to book.

See you all soon,

Mike.

One day when I am filthy rich (got the 1st part down - need the 2nd) I am sooo going to have to travel the 8 time zones and arrive at one of these splunches. Somehow though, I do not think the prize for 'furthest travelled' will pay back the fuel surcharge, let alone the flight!

I'll raise a glass in your general direction at the appropriate time though. Well, the appropriate Eastern direction. If it was technically exactly in your direction it would be like 124 degrees down, which would spill the darn drink!

Well, so far I've heard from one to confirm that they aren't staying for the evening meal. So it looks like one portion of chips for me, eaten in a phone box to keep out of the wind and rain - please, not sh*t weather again; Candy and I will be mightily unhappy!!

Anyone for dinner?

Mike.

Count me in for dinner!
It wasn't that long ago that I'd punch someone in the face when they pissed me off; now I just delete them from Facebook - that'll show the mother-fuckers...

Andy, it'll be great to see you there. Will you be joining us for dinner?

Hotels - see the first post on this thread, and check with Wamadeus where he is staying so that you can wobble there together. :)
