Hello all!

I was wondering.... most people get honoured when they are death... But there has got to be a way to honour Bill and Hayley, for running such a great and social forum, they should be proud!

Does anyone have any idea how, how we can do all togetter something for our hero´s?

I'd just heard on the radio about the idea of a State Funeral for Mrs Thatcher, and I thought for a moment that you were suggesting the same to honour Bill and Hayley!!!!

(Whether you like Mrs Thatcher or not, I thought it seemed a bit harsh to be discussing the idea in front of her while she's still around! )

Does Mrs T have to die first or can we bury her now? :P

Yes, I turned on the telly yesterday to test a DVD and they were discussing a state funeral then. For a glorious moment I thought she'd snuffed it and I was planning a street party with bunting. Then when there was nothing on the news...oh the disappointment.

Is this state funeral thing a subtile hint for doing the same with H & B? :D

I'm in for that!! Have you planned any date yet?

If it helps...(and I have no idea why we are lanning it now...Hayley and Bill seem very much alive to me!) There is a company that do custom coffins made up. So you can have any pattern you like on them. I think that would be a good way to send off (when that day does happen). I'm thinking there should be a ...I cant think of the name but basically, loads of people stand either side of the path to the church/ crematorium in a formation whilst the bearers bring the coffin into the church...is it just me that think we should show our respect with a pie?

Wow...this is depressing thinking about it!!! lol

It's quite fun reading the plans for my funeral!

In real life, let me tell you I have put aside some money for a massive party down the pub to which of course you are all invited. The bad news I don't intend dying just yet.

Oh and another thing, the principal guests at the funeral will be being picked up in a vintage bus (either a Southdown open topper, an AEC RT or maybe a Green Line RF). As a lifelong public transport man, the idea is you go on the bus and for once I get to go in the car!

I certainly hope that you both have years of life ahead.

May i however suggest the coffins be filled with every item of gunge and mess that can be thought of before you are laid to rest

Makes them heavy for the bearers but I'm sure Hayley's biker mates could manage. It won't be the first time she's dreamed of four of them laying her simultaneously...to rest that is.
