Depends on the card provider and whether the charge a percentage or a flat fee for foreign currency transactions really.

Without being boring, it looks like most "normal" cards charge about 2.75% http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/overseas-card-charges which would only be about 8p on a £3 download.

Any updates on the download project?

I read more than I post here, and I know it's been a popular request among Splosh fans for some time.

If nothing else, bumping this thread is a way to keep a Splosh related project on the front page of the Splosh forums :wink:

Happy to say, it really isn't far off now.

We have the page all set up, the first two films are ready to go in both WMV and Quicktime formats (including a brand new Clown Julie film) and we will be adding a couple more before we launch . There was a slight delay whilst (being Mac-orientated here) we grappled with the best conversion from Quicktime to WMV that kept the quality of the original, but we have sorted that temporarily at least. You see, unlike some people, we like to sort out any on-site problems BEFORE we launch!

I really think - lets hope we are not tempting fate here - it should be up and running in the next two weeks. So keep an eye out on this forum!

Then Miss T, SweetSophie, Carly-UK, Mercedes. Messymaddy and Co will have to put up with our promotions bumping themselves up the forum for a while!!

Don't see why we shouldn't! If commercial companies want to use us for advertising, I think it should be mutual. Either that or to quote Sir Alan Sugar in the title sequence of The Apprentice "I could get rid of the whole bloody lot of you. I don't give a shit." Commercial people that is, not individual members. Not that we want to do that...

Could be next weekend....

First five films edited and ready, just tarting up the download site (in between doing Gilly stuff etc) with the help of Muckypup (who's been excellent). So keep an eye out this week for our official launch date!

I think it's good with some real favourites and newcomers in ALL NEW messy adventures. And a LOT more to come...

Being a big fan of splosh style slapstick and clowning I am eagerly awaiting the download store. There are many producers but only one SPLOSH! The ease and instant gratification of dowloads has meant I don't tend to buy dvd's anymore through the post so it can only be great news that we will soon be able to download Bill's vids.

My credit card has had its limit decreased like many due to the crunch but there will always be room to buy Splosh downloads

Looking forward to more from Clown Julie too.
