Bristol Splunch - 24/05/08

Chat, flirt and fantasise about everything wet and messy

Postby Lizzie_Claymore » 24 May 2008, 19:23

Good luck with it all, Mike.

Sounds like you'll be having a good time. We had a great time last month at Warrington (next one due there on the 3rd Sat in Oct (18th?)).

I shall look forward to reading the reports on here in due course!

Regards,
C_W.

Hi,
It was nice to meet all those who made it to the Bristol splunch earlier, and for making me feel so welcome, even though I didn’t announce I was planning on going beforehand (just in case I bottled it at the last moment). As I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect with Haley’s suggestions about the fountains on the way home, Which far as I know, no one did go looking for them, Though I didn’t stay for the late shift so anything could have happened afterwards really.

All in all I think it went quite well as I’m sure others will comment.

Doh! I was somehow thinking it was on B.H. Monday! (..in which case that e-mail I sent you may have seemed a bit out of kilter, Mike!)

Glad to hear it went ok.

Hi,

I just want to say thanks to all who came to the Bristol splunch. It was my first meet and everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

Special thanks to Mike for organising it :D .

Can't wait for the next one now!

Since the sun is out - contrary to the weather forecast - I suspect they are all playing in the mud somewhere.

I am sorry if Hayley scared anyone with the talk of the fountains. It was a splunch not a wet/messy occasion.

Look forward to hearing the news from it.

I had to leave to catch a train after only five hours drinking and chatting (no stamina these days!) but I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. It was also a real pleasure to meet two people new to the 'meet idea', Michelle and Dave and I hope we can see them both again on future occasions.

 Just re-read that and it makes it sound as though they are a couple! They are not. I'm not so sure about Jonny & Candy though, I was quite embarrassed at times  . Remember, you two, I have the pictures!

Must also say 'thank you' to our host, Mike :) I won't forget that I owe him several drinks when we next meet.

Rich.

Hope you had a good one.

Hi all

Once again it was a great meet and so lovely to see everyone!

Richard  lol sorry if we embarassed you but honey, that was tame behaviour for me! hehe...

anyway who wants to know what happened later on? well I will tell you regardless...

Me and Jonny played a really HOT energetic game, there was much sweating, soreness and chafing involved

Mike and easy_as joined in too!

No, you dirty filthy buggers I am not talking about 'hide the sausage' ... the game was.....

FIND THE CAR!!!!!!!

Seeing as we had a dinner booking at a pub a few miles away, the time came for us to depart Horts bar and as Jonny was driving, we kind of needed to find his car. You would think this would not be too taxing a task... except all poor jonny knew was that it was an NCP multistorey car park *somewhere* in bristol... much trudging about bristol ensued (and not a fountain in sight!) as we checked out and then ruled out various car parks, an HOUR later ending with us now 30 mins late for the booking, leaving jonny to it while we got a cab to the pub instead!

Thankfully jonny did eventually find the car and join us at a rather lovely pub with even lovlier staff who held the booking for us. There we met up with leon and lisa moomin and (I believe) his username on here is 'si' and we all had a gorgeous meal and continued the merriment and good time on late into the evening ending up the last to leave the pub

my gob is firmly shut about any other 'goings on' what goes on, on tour stays on tour!

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnyway thanks to all who made it and turned it into such a great time!

Hayley! LOL @ Shane! Richard, take note about the poledancing, at least there was none of that eh... or maybe that would have been preferred.... hmmmm....

Errhmmmm.....!

Find the car, a game everyone can play, even those in a restuarant miles away, and the waitress/barmaid even joined in to take the piss out the Cornish boy! I think I parked the car in Cardiff.

But the fun didnt start there.... two participants,we'll call them "Ray" and "Stevie" played the fun game of "Find the Venue", both trying in an Anneka Rice style to find clues from unhelpful "local". Ray accosted a beautiful young blonde to assist him to his venue, where as Stevie asked a local octigeniran for directions, and started to lose the will to live.

It was very nice to meet some new peeps, and it certainly has potential as another great meet venue. I now know where to park my car for the night, and that's also not a euphenmism for Candy's post match entertainment with myself....

Indeed, it was nice to make it along to Bristol and see everyone !

As for Find The Car, it was fun of course but . . . , how many car parks can Bristol need ?????

There was also the slight feeling Ray should have asked the lovely, helpful, young blonde along to the gathering but weighed up the options that the girl was really just being nice rather than interested.
For the record, Ray discovered a new and continued will to live unlike poor old Stevie . . . .

Thanks to Mike for organising !!!!

:D :D :D

Blonde quote of the day......

Remember that from the opening post on this thread? Well, it didn't happen.

The weather forecast was right in reality - temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees (before the windchill factor is taken into account), winds of over 20 mph gusting to over 40 mph, and heavy rain (probably nearly horizontal) all day both days.

Thank you God (please note, there are other deities - or then again, none at all) for p*ssing so comprehensively on my fireworks.

Just 'cos you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

All together now:

'Sh*t, sod, knicker, p*ss, a**hole, fart,
Somebody stole my horse and cart,
Don't give a b*gger,
I'll soon get another,
Sh*t, sod, knicker, p*ss, a**hole, fart.'

Second verse, just the same, only louder!

Candy can help with tune; we've sung it enough times over the last couple of days.

Now aiming to do it 'later in the year, when the weather gets warmer' - where have I heard that phrase before?
