We are planning a WAM session for my birthday, and are looking to use 2 8L buckets of Angel Delight, and 2 8L buckets of Custard. Now, my question is, do you mix it as it says on the packet.
For example the custard takes around 482ml of water, there is 8000ml capacity in the bucket so would take 19 packets to create normal custard. Would this be porable or do you think less custard powder should be used.
Angel Delight is harder, because this stuff is meant to be dead thick. According to mixing instructions it should be 250ml of water per packet, so that would take 32 packets per bucket to create the stuff according to the packet.
Just looking for advice if people had used these substances in this volume before, and how many packets to water ratio was used
On a side note, morrisons have angel delight (own brand) for 5p at the minute, and tesco custard is 7 or 8p!

Cheers for that, any advice on mixing it? I have tried to persuade my gf to put pics up, we will see
Hiya
When I use angel delight I tend to just go by sight and keep adding and adding to it , then if ive run out of packets and its still not thick enough just add some flour. This takes the colour down a bit though so then a little food colouring helps
Important tip though, also add a bit of oil and dont let it dry in your hair under circumstances or you will be combing it out for weeks
As for custard thats more difficult as if you are using packets the water has to be boiling to thicken it, but essentially yes I stick to the amounts needed as per the instructions
maybe make it up a jug at a time sticking to the instructions for a litres worth and remember to let it cool and keep stirring it for at least an hour or add a few very cold cans or cartons of ready made as well to bring the temp down to manageable
have fun

Hi again, sadly i have always been alone when i have sploshed myself, so i have just mixed it as it says on the pack, one pack is just enough to cover one boob ! so i usually use three packs to be on the safe side
I hope you and your girlfriend enjoy your evening, i was worried about posting my boobs pic at first, but thanks to Candy, i am so pleased i did it, the great comments from you guys has really boosted my confidence, so i hope she lets you take pics, even if you dont show your faces.
Have fun !!!!!!!

as for the custard, yes I know it will take ages, ive done it(in the days before I discovered my hot water comes out hot enough to thicken it anyway)
but like I say the water has to be boiling or it wont thicken, and my kettle holds just under 2 litres......spose you could do a kettles worth and have a load of saucepans of water bubbling away too to attempt to do it in one go - eek good luck and dont burn yourself
Roughly how many packets do you use for the 4 litres? Hmmmmm thats a idea about the tap being warm enough for the custard!

lol my boiler is broken and should probably be condemned - it gets way too hot, I dont reckon your average hot tap will do the job tbh but by all means give it a go!
I have no idea how many packets, seriously, I have a huge stock of them and just grab a handful and chuck them in! probably somewhere near what it should be

Probably stating the obvious but if you have access to a Cash & Cary, you can get catering quantities of both instant custard and own brand angel delight with full instructions for making it by the bucket load. A lot less hassle than individual packets.
This probably sounds like Stonecastle! Sorry...

I wish i had access to a cash and carry, but i dont. Unless anyone knows of one's in Newcastle open to the General Public.
Bookers C&C let you have a day pass if you have a piece of headed company notepaper to show them. No idea if there's one in Newcastle. Yellow Pages quicker than the forum!

Nitrious wrote: Anyone used those strirers that are used for mixing cement, you know the drill attachment, bet that mixes gunge up nicely!
The drill atachment are used by many clowns I have worked with but you are best using them in rubberised type of tub or bucket avalible from DIY centres as it is easy to hit the side of the bucket with the drill and split a plastic one so all your mess ends up on the floor (not where you want it )
also a tip don't hang the drill up by the stirer as the water runs down the drill and into the electrics!!

You usually get a much messier gunge if you mix together several different gunges so mix angel delight, custard and something else like eggs together to get a really disgusting mess.
