I'm sure I met you at Warrington, with Dolly and co. Its a right laugh the Lodon meet, we all pile into the Imperial for the night, or the Imp, as soto, has named it. You'd meet a lot of new people and have a right laugh.

You may be thinking of SlapStickSlosh, Andy. He was there last year.

However, SlapStickFan (and anyone else) is welcome to come to Warrington in the afternoon of Sat 19th April.

Only a week away now and we are really looking forward to seeing you all there and enjoying the evening.

Once again, it bears repeating, thank you to all of you who have attended in the past regularly or otherwise . . . it has all contributed to what is now the begining of the 5th year of meets . . . . . thank you all for making each one an event that people want to return to or come to in the first place.

The list is shaping up great!

This will be the biggest meet to date, we are looking to have 30 people or more, that without all the anonymous and unconfirmed names and last minute attendees!!

I hope Wamadeus brings a big enough birthday card! :D

If anyone has a good camera it would be great if you could bring it along to take some pictures of the evening (obviously before photos are taken everyone will have the choice if they would prefer to to be involved with the pictures).

Just noticed the contact number at the very top of the page is slightly wrong, it's 0750 688 7825 (not 7285)

The London Meet contact number is correct any place else on the main post.

I doubt if anyone's forgotten this or the wrestling event, so no need for bumping.

Yeah, the forums still not so large a thread can be lost in the midst of it all.... and yeah, I am aware that just by saying this I am indeed, bumping it. Lol.

See you all there

We have nothing against this thread or any other but bumping is becoming rather prevalent on the forum even when a thread is still on the first page. It really isn't fair on individuals putting up threads when larger groups and commercial companies use their models etc to repeatedly bump things.

Hi Bill, Hayley and Dolly.

We had no idea that we were over-bumping this thread. In fact, we would like to think we have been sensitive to this particular issue. The last thing we would want to do is clog the forum.

With two days to go we thought it would do no harm in promoting something that is, after all, an event for those in the London area ( and as it turns out, much, much further afield - thank you , you know who you all are ! ) who would like to meet up with others of a similar mind.

We did not realise we were in the same category as a site promoting itself.
If there have been complaints from other users of the forum then of course we will take this into account.
The idea was to maybe attract a few of the last minute decisions from those who are rarer visitors here, passing through who maybe hadn't seen the thread before.

The UMD , and because it is a different type of beast, so to speak, gave us a ' sticky ' for the last week before the Meet date, this has been the situation for the last few Meets too. However, it was and is appreciated, of course, not taken for granted and never will be.

As DD pointed out, Splosh! is not the same in regard to size and that is why we did not ask for a ' sticky ' .
Although we are sure that if we had, The London Meet would have received the same level of co-operation from you all here at Splosh!, as on the UMD.

Maybe using the word BUMP was a mistake, although in truth any comment would have had the same effect. It was just honest, transparent and a bit cheeky. Nothing more nothing less. Regard the Angels thread, they made a genuine post for their event and the thread was, in actuality, most consistently bumped by a certain side issue.

Still, if there has been a misunderstanding then we are sure we can overcome it. We would be happy to hear from the mods via PM where we can sort things out.

On a more positive note, DD it will be lovely to see you again, we look forward to it and we also hope to see Bill at another London Meet soon, it's been a while since the last one !

Regards

See you all tomos, andybody who wants to come and is not sure phone the no from Easy and Smiley. I promise everybody is really nice. I am looking forward to seeing old friends and hopefully making some new ones.

Also having the odd pint, which is no bad thing. Please do not think this is a bump as I am genuinly looking forward to winding Easy up, yet again over the footy what was the score mate 4-0 I believe.
