She was drowned in 1981 after falling from her yatch while trying to board a dinghy. Apparently, the tabloids at the time had a field-day hinting at foul play being involved, but, although she had earlier been drinking and arguing with her husband, it seems that it was just a tragic accident.

I remember seeing Meteor years ago on TV, didn't realise it was from as long ago as 1979 though.
Out of curiosity, was there any significant sploshing in Armageddeon or Deep Impact, which re-hashed a similar plot? Never did get to see either, really should track them down on DVD, as I like "doomsday" movies, regardless of gunge content.
