The Two Ronnies were one of the best comedy acts of the 1970s. I really liked them a lot. This sketch was one of their best:

I don't think he was being that serious - BUT I know he gets wound up cos it's the sketch that always gets shown to illustrate the Ronnies work. Personally I think the Matermind sketch is funnier (certainly than Bill's!) and David Renwick who wrote it also wrote the Jonathan Creek that featured us so he is cool by me!

*massive show of ignorance*

When were you in Jonathan Creek? I loved it, but I was about 10 when it was on...

Not sure of the date. It was on Boxing Day and an episode had a sub plot which included Caroline Quentin reading our magazine, and later a girl who thought Jonathan was into it trying to seduce him by taking a bath in porridge wearing a nurse's uniform. No, really. I didn't dream it.

Others will fill in the details I'm sure. Apparently Bill was with his parents when it came on and he practically exploded!

Tiswas' main writers also moonlighted by writing Two Ronnies material. (Hence the similarity in the comedy used for the 'news' items.)

I've written for Razzle, but not using this name, thankfully!
