I've had another thought whilst doing some paper work, with xtube people can put up almost anything!! where as youtube their are guidance rules ref topless etc.

They may well have to inspect the footage before it is allowed to go live, as it may show a pic of emma and karen on the thumprint, then it turns out to be something completely diffrent. That could well be case the more I think about bear with me for a couple of days.

I am not sure what formats are available for downloads but we certainly want them to be as clear and large format as possible. Youtube is fine for rarities but the quality isn't really good enough for stuff you want to keep.

totally agree about YouTube and delighted to hear that the Splosh! download store will feature big crisp videos of the kind of mess I love...!

I anyone can pass on any tips, I am sure he will be grateful. Any sites use a format you recommend, Snakes?

I've been impressed by the quality (and content) of the videos at messyangel.com and bound2bmessy.com. They offer a mixture of 640x480 and 720x480 videos at a good bit-rate (>1000kbps).

The videos are typically about 15min long and about 100Mb in size. Personally I'd rather spend the time downloading a big file knowling that its good quality than getting a lower quality video quicker...

I have been banned from xtube. They have withdrawn my account without giving any explantion why.. Be very careful if choose to use this site as it would appear they are not messy friendly. I challenged the reason for the videos being withdrawn. I got no reply off the owners of xtube they just banned me.

I find this rather silly as what is on this site I would class as soft porn. Not hard core. It would appear that they are not Splosh friendly. Be warned if you put up footage they will most likely ban you with no explantion why.

Sorry if it brings the tone of the thread down, you just need to be aware so it does not happen to yourselves.

Thanks for the technical advice, Snakes. We will endeavour to make our films as good as we can in terms of pic quality.

I don't believe you got banned because of the rudeness of the content or the mess, Andy. Maybe they don't like public events or the picture quality. Have you read their rules thoroughly?

I think you are probably right Bill. I think they have seen at as commerical content. As it was an event. Will double check next time. Though at least those who wanted to see some of the footage got to see it before the small problem.
