That stated Dids and most other people had found it before I arrived. I suppose its like the first time Dolly went to the studio, first trip you have to find it, sencond trip no problem.........

Blaydes was OK, and being a gay bar there were no "dodgy looks from the locals", but there are other options nearby. The Adelphi is I believe a grade-1 listed building, and inside has several little rooms, some of which can be hired for private dos - and the one I'm thinking of opens directly into the main through bar area (wide and beautifully tiled entrance hall, with bar and stairs to upstairs, plus doors to several rooms).

It's also got a fantastic range of drinks, including Addlestones cider, proper ale on handpunmps, proper lager (Belgian, IIRC), etc. Just a thought!

as mentioned on the n'ham post how about Sheffield!

The Moon is a real ale bar has a secluded area to one side of main bar .. is generally quiet on a late sat afternoon early evening. Its a real ale bar (abbeydale brewery) has some music but not loud. There also a function room. 2 minutes from a tram stop has an outdoor seating patio area for smokers. Food serves up to 7 on a saturday

It has hosted goth music nights so used to a few "unusual" sights .. but not too maybe extremes maybe .. pvc bikini and thigh boots may get a funny look! But pvc trousers and corsets would be normallish!

Plenty of accom in Sheff for people travelling ..and half way between leeds and nottingham. Just avoid if sheff weds playing at home that day!

I did mean to post this last week and me pc crashed halfeway through posting it

Yes please, two seats for us. Happy with Blayds as its nice and central for everything, no questions asked guv etc. We dont go to check out the decor as we go to meet likeminded people.

Just tell us when xxx
