the pit in nottingham is good but the layout of the place is a bit random from the times been there ..
The leeds one I couldn't make last time and when up a week before it couldn't find it anyway!
There is a very good real ale bar in Sheffield *(The Moon) which has a secluded area but in main bar and os quietish on a Saturday afternoon early evening .. halfway between N'ham and Leeds!and we have the fountains of spaff!
But N'ham ccould be doable!

Sheffield would be good for me as I have friends there, but any of the towns/cities mention work well.
