What I meant was the classic Splosh! style which no-one else on the web has quite been able to match (in my opinion)

I'd have to agree with slapstickfan there. There are moments of the Splosh! magic in the GSH videos but (to my taste anyway) too many foam pies. Sammy J was right to start a campaign for real mess... good for her!

Its great to hear that a Splosh! download site is in the pipeline. As I've just mentioned in another thread, I'd love to see some high quality new (and indeed old) Splosh! material available to download.

Thanks for the nice comments. Bill will be pleased (and yes, I got a text from the pub to say he handed his tax return in on time despite a force ten gale and pouring rain).

We both like the Splosh! style of filming and agree that whilst there is a lot of very good stuff available to download, it's not quite the way we'd like it. As you say, GSH has some elements of it but was created (not by us) in a very Tiswas style to fit Gilly's overacting. Since Bill has taken over, the pie count and variety of materials has increased dramatically, but he is still trying to make it diferent from the Splosh! style so as not to conflict. Some people prefer the foam pie/Tiswas/circus style (hmmm...I wonder who?) so it is really meant for them. The Splosh! downloads will be a lot more varied from the ones I've seen.

I like Gilly's stuff very much (it's nice and old fashioned, just like me  ) and especially the 'guest stars' like, Sammy, Hydee *swoons  * , Julie and of course DD to mention just a few. Circus style slapstick certainly still has a place in the wam scene as well as the total coverage food/gunge scenarios.

One of my earliest memories is of a scene starring Jack Douglas & Charlie Drake as 'Mick & Montmorency' making a mess of painting a wall. It was on B&W TV, 405 lines with a 12inch screen, very grainy, and the continuity announcer afterwards saying that we needn't worry about the waste of paint (it was the time of austerity, late 1940s or early 1950s - shortages of everything!) as they were using shaving soap. It was one of the formative influences of my life and may well have turned me into a splosher in later life. :D

Been wondering, why did he hand his tax return in at the pub?

Since the pub hold all my money in their safe (or till), it cuts out the middle man.

As Hayley says, all handed in now, and what a shite year it was (commercially) - not helped by two credit card billing companies going down in one year. Anyway...that's my problem.

I only just remember Mick and Montmorency (I was about three) but do recall the Charlie Drake series that followed it (the one where he knocked himself unconscious). I suppose I was brought up with the concept that slapstick should be funny (as well as erotic) so that's why our films are the way they are. I think even putting the captions to photos such as the Lucky Buckets sequence adds to them enormously.

So into the next tax year with more mess and even more excuse to make it... (with rubbish jokes, of course).

I had a phone call from EasyAs pointing me (the pro photographer) to this thread. I have been very busy lately being worked like a donkey by my client and just got time now to post some news.

To answer the question in the post we do have a shoot planned in the coming 2 months but I’d rather not go into too much detail at present. I knew Bill was busy with his books so I did try emailing Hayley a couple of times times at the end of January on the “shinyhayley” email addy I normally use but did not get a reply and one bounced back. I wanted to ask a few questions so now thought I’d post brief queries here.

Now that the Splosh Forum seems to be the central meeting/chatting point for UK wam, when the pics are ready will we be able to post them serial fashion on the splosh forum? Its just there will be quite a few and I’m not sure about data limits etc so thought we would ask permission first.

Will there eventually be space on the Freehouse for the pics? No rush once the pics are sent as we know this can take time. We find the galleries on the freehouse are a great way of us getting new models involved as we can send a link to previous work as we don’t have our own website.

As a club we can only really afford to do 2 more of these free shoots in the near future. We have some ideas planned for elaborate shoots with more than one model but they will be too expensive to produce without at least some form of income coming back, even if it was to break even. We have worked out a few ways that whole set of pics can be downloaded as one big file to be either viewed in page format or in a mini electronic magazine format. The advantage here is that buyers don’t have to pull down each pic individually which means that a full set of pics can be as easy as a vid to download. Not ripping off your handle there EasyAs that’s how I wrote it and just spotted it lol

Will be in touch soon Bill and Hayley once we have the pics :)

P.S. We don't log on under this handle that often as we intend to use it for posting pics etc which is not that often and only just noticed after writing this a PM from you Bill (Foot In Mouth) from last September. The answer would have been yes that's ok but its a little belated now I guess. Will send you a PM reply with my personal contact mobile details just in case you need to get in touch urgently again.

I am sure Bill will ask properly by PM but just to add my bit.

I don't think there would be any problem in putting them on the forum as a series of pics so long as the file sizes weren't impossible for dial-up users. Also, it would be best to do them in batches (as Bill did with the WRAF set) rather than all at once as it keeps people interested.

Of course they would go into the Free House after. They are very popular there.

As for getting some sort of financial return from future sets, I am sure Bill would be happy to discuss any ideas with you.

PS As I mentioned here, my ShinyHayley account at Yahoo disappeared over Xmas and New Year for some reason which is why I never got your message. It is running again now.
