I think my family and friends would think I was wierd if I told them. I have told a few women that I know from other internet sites and chatrooms though and they are reasonably OK about it.

That sounds cool and makes perfect sense. Never have understood jealousy. The way I see it, if I care for someone I want them to be happy. If they can be happy doing things (esp things I don't want to do) with someone else, then what right have I to deny them? It'd be like saying "you can only ever eat food I make, never go to a restaurant or eat a chocolate bar". That way lies madness, IMHO.

That makes a lot of sense!

I don't know, I step away from the site for a couple of days, and my topic goes mad! (well, by my standards, my topics are usually quiet  )

My girlfriend already knows about it, and, after some time, feels comfortable enough to give it a go.

One of my best mates also know, and both have been fine with it - although both started off thinking I meant the band :?

Thanks for the welcome words, guys - one of my main new years resolutions is to be a bit more open and a bit more adventurous, so it would be good if I didn't have to squirrel things like this away in case someone found out...

All of our friends know as we enjoyed it so much we told the world, we have converted the odd one or two as well. But then all of our friends know about the BDSM, TV and swinging side of our life too. Families do not need to know, but if they did it would be no problem from our side.
Whoops, I did it again.

At the risk of dredging up (potentially) bad memories, may I ask what happened?

I'm still very much on the fence about telling anybody else, but I quite like DD's sig for this one, especially the "those who matter don't mind" bit!

I think if I was going to let anyone else in on it, it would be two of my other closer friends, and see how they react!

its been a few years since i started although it was only last year that i joined splosh and started looking deeper into getting messy. i have told a handful of my mates they either are intrigued or dont understand but non of them have ever judged me for it. so no harm done

Well i've put my pics on my myspace and facebook pages for mates to see so if they don't like it THEN IT'S THERE OWN BLOODY PROBLEM!!.

Saying that most of them think it's a right laff with what i'm doing and also my big bro thinks it's a hoot too lol.

Only person i haven't told is my Dad as i'm a bit shy to tell him about it (will do soon tho). He think's i'm chasing birds all over England when i tell him that i've been to this and that place lol.

Saying that he's a dirty old man at his age (60) anyway lol and i'm sure he would be okay with it.

.....at least i don't have to tell mum about it (lol) god rest her soul. I think she's spitting blood wherever she is in the athmosphere seeing what i get up to hahaha.

I do envy the confidence some of you have, when my last girlfriend found out what it was she thought it was weird. Doesn't know what she's missing, but each to their own :D

Do you think the more outgoing types that splosh attracts is the reason a lot of sploshers (from what I've read) share it with their friends? Or am I wrong again?

To answer the question... NO WAY! The reaction to Gilly on Graham Norton's show says it all and I couldn't put up with all the "weirdo" hassle that would inevitably take place.

On another note, slight surprise at noting at least 2 female posters whose male other halves are not into it! So used to it being the other way round!
(In my case it's usually a birthday, Xmas or Valentine treat as it really isn't her thing).

Have fun all of you! :D
