Does anyone remember advice in some health magazines

Does anyone remember a few years back, well going back to the 90s in fact. Which featured advice on how to revitalise your face and minimise lines and wrinkles by putting a dessert mixture on it.

There were many articles back then that recommended using mixtures such as whipped cream, avacado and yogurt to moisturies and revitalise the skin on the face. They used to show pictures of models with this muck on their faces. :D

Yes, I can remember pictures of models with avocado bits on their faces and recipies for yoghurt based mixtures. I'm sure they were no better than normal moisturisers though. Some of the proprietary brands still advertise 'secret' ingredients but I'm sure they are all bullshit (in fact the latter would probably do more good  ).

Another thing that used to make me laugh were the rubbishy tablets, pills and creams which were supposed to help to give a better erection, I actually used to sell some of them but never needed to try them out! (of course this was in the days before Viagra had ben invented - that usually works  ).

In my opinion, fruit and veg such as avocado, cucumber etc are better than most creams and a lot cheaper - not to mention a good excuse for having your head dunked in a huge bowl of quacomole! A good moisturiser and a half decent diet is all you really need - pentapeptides, my arse!

Yep...late 70's It's A Knockout with Stuart Hall form some of my early splosh memories...especially the big pools of water with green pond slime in and the great costumes. Aaaay up! Everytime I think of it I can hear Stuart Hall's laugh
