I have a pinnacle PCI one he could have (he's already making remarkably full use out of my old digital camera), but it may be a bit of a mission installing it in his pooter and sorting out a long lead to go between the card and his VCR.

this might be a better option - I have one in my laptop bag and it works OK as a no-frills solution.

I have to admit Bill it is a bit of Blue Peter job behind the secene's hear.
As you are all aware I am still am man of lesuire, hopefully not for much longer.

The following things has really been donated (I aint making this bit up so a big thanks to all involved.)

1 x Digi Camera (miss Helen)
1 x You tube mini camera (mum and dad!!)
1 x Tripod (miss Helen)
1 x Opitcal Camera (jammed 06)
1 x Optical stills/vid camera (jammed 06)
1 x Fast digi Camera (leena)
1 x Digi Camera (for doing the shoots when Miss Helen is hear.)
1 x opitcal camera (borrowed off Raven for some vid work, last time.)
1 x Vid Camera (miss Helen.) Used for shoots and for me to practice me camera work. (hand held shoots are well dodgy trust me, looks like an earthquke.)

All those who travel from all over the place just so I can film, and gunge them.

As for the puter I think it needs a clean out, as Miss Helen and Jammed have commented on the time for the bloody thing to fire up!!!! (needs more coal.)

Andy

Though if its £20.00 Jammed next time we are shooting I'll give you the cash to order it. I'm not that bad....

Once again big thanks to all those who are involved, donate time, or let me use the equipment.

regards

Andy

You've got more stuff than we have!

Talking of which, the Big Pooter (with all the archive stuff) should be much improved when it gets back from the repairers. Who knows, we might even be able to watch YouTube without it taking months. But we also need a new video camera (heads going on the current one) and a decent digital stills camera. All recommendations accepted...

andy, tesco sell decorators cover sheets, which are 4m x 3m, pack of three for 79p. these work just as well and i doubt wicks can match the price.
i've go access to some thicker industrial sheeting for those special occassions, and i'll bring you a quantity when we get together in the new year.

have a good one all!

Camera reccomendation: Fuji Finepix S9500 (may be up to S9600 now).

I've taken well over 80,000 shots with mine in he last 2 years, it gives you full creative control (Aperture priority / Shutter priority / Full manual), plus full auto, and while it's not a full DSLR (it's one level below that), I've yet to find a picture I couldn't take with it.

The built in lens is a 28-300 zoom, resolution goes all the way to 9 megapixels, though for web use I tend to stick with 3mpx, any more would just be wasting disk space and download time.

Dustsheet reccomendation: Yep, I'd go with Tesco too. They're better quality plastic than the ones you get from B&Q, less likely to tear and drop everything on the floor when you're trying to clean up after.
