A quick message to Steve - a longtime lurker - who met me (and my friend Ange) in a pub just outside Southampton last night in my boots and PVC mac (well it was raining!) and couldn't believe it was really me! Hope this proves it.

Heehee. This has got more of a response than I expected!
Sorry I didn't contact you about my night out, Richard! To be honest, I didn't know we were going out, I was meant to be having a girly night in at Ange's place but she was in the mood for the pub - despite the weather! So we fought our way through the gales and rain for a few JDs.
Can I just say Steve was the perfect gentleman (and very fetching in my boots and mac!!!) and didn't pester us at all. He merely mentioned that I reminded him of 'this girl he knew on the internet' and Ange (a few whiskeys down her already) said, "Is she called Hayley?" to which he blushed bright pink! It was followed by the inevitable explanation and his confession to being a bit of a fan. But Steve didn't interrogate us (in fact I think he was a bit overawed, bless him) instead he let us get on with our chat. Thanks for that. He and his mate did come over for a bit of natter at the end though which was a laugh - and he let us share his cab back to Ange's as it was still pretty rough outside. No they didn't come in!
I promise a snog to any of you I meet in a similar way - especially DD (though in her case I want a go what Gilly did - namely shoving my face in her messy breasts!). I was a bit surprised cos I always thought I was unrecognisable (apart from the shiny outfits!). Perhaps it was cos I was wet and looked a mess! Anyway, do feel free to say hello if you do spot me anywhere!

Isn't all this "Hayley is out wearing PVC snogging girls" getting a bit old? Always away on business, can't make any events despite being one of the most high profile people in the community? Spain? Convienient. Only ever seen by a friend of a friend of a friend? Couldn't have a picture taken because of a gf? Couldn't you just black out his face?
Just come clean, don't insult our intelligence and we'll just all move on and not mention it again.

I am not going to ban you for stating your opinion. Even if your one and only post is rather rude.
I appreciate that my behaviour does warrant cynicism but it does also happen to be for real. I work in Spain most of the time now and I could never get to a meet, certainly not during the week. I can't show you a picture cos the guy I met in the pub wouldn't even let me take it - or rather have it taken. As for snogging girls and wearing PVC a lot...it happens a lot in rock pubs.
OK, you can choose to say this is all nonsense. Perhaps you are right in that unless I am prepared to do more for the community by joining in on meets and sessions, then I should fade away into the distance. It's been fun, but I can understand that my life choices do provoke cynicism, so perhaps better if I let you all get on with it till I have some pictures to share or can summon up the courage for a personal appearance.
Don't waste your time here debating whether I exist or not. It's meant to be a fun place. I do and have been involved in Splosh! since Day 1, but perhaps I am not as over-the-top as I make out, and whilst I enjoy what I do, don't always want to do it for public consumption (apart from the few photos, videos and articles, of course). So goodbye. Or is it au revoir?
