Vintage WAM Gallery?

Postby BillShipton » 09 Oct 2007, 12:14

Hi

Hundreds of years ago in the days before SPLOSH! (and hard though it might be to imagine, the world did exist prior to that), people were still getting messy. In slapstick films, early glamour photos, even the very occasional deliberate WAM movie, pioneers were getting girls messy. You might even have been doing so yourself.

We were wondering if any of you had any shots to share of pre-SPLOSH! (up to 1989) pics. Hayley wanted to include all early fetish stuff cos she has a weakness for terrible 70s fashions but lets start with messy ones if they exist.

So please post any you have, and I'll have a root through Hayley's drawers for any interesting bits and pieces.

Cue hundreds of corny gags about rooting in Hayley's drawers...

The obvious pre-splosh film that springs to my mind is 'Tommy', which I have on VHS ... but no stills sorry.

As a little kid, I loved it in black and white comedies when someone fell into an entire bath of whitewash or plaster.

Anyway, I'll have a root through my own drawers (no jokes please) and see if I have any pics from old films.

Oooh - Tiswas is pre-splosh too!

has anyone visited the members section of wsmproductions.co.uk? I was tempted to join but wasn't convinced by the (lack of) sample pics.

I have a stack of WSM picture sets on 35mm transparencies from when they first started. Just need to figure out how to get them scanned into the pc :? .

I think this was Fiesta - and sad as it sounds I remember the text included it was the models birthday; and of course she is covered in jelly...

Another early Eighties WAM based mag - there were only about 3 or 4 before Splosh! - well as far as I could find

A Penthouse shoot from the early eighties - I bought a copy in the States and then panicked and dumped it before boarding the flight home - in case they searched my bags

The Classic Herb Alpert Cover - 1967 I think - and I recently found out it was shaving foam as the whipped cream kept melting under the lights. However it did it for me age 13 at the time.

Believe it or not the photographer of this Knave shoot from the 70's was a guy call Jay Mydal who did the cover of Kate Bush's "The Kick Inside" Album !

Those were the days- boys and girls rolling around in the park, jumpers for goalposts..
Impressive selection :)

I can never see enough of that first still from 'Sweet Movie'... Has anyone out there seen the film?
