I think its quite fun to see men getting messy but then I'm a woman and suppose if I was a man looking I would probably find it either irrelevant or mildly annoying to log into something expecting to see a lovely girl and be confronted with a hairy arsed bloke with no warning! Doesn't mean it shouldn't be there though, just like Bill says the subject should be headed so you can avoid it if you want to.

Well I'm sorry but just because some people are so sensitve that even the thought of men being involved is too much for their precious little hearts doesn't mean people like the author of this topic should be made to feel like freaks!

Incidentally I have a poll running on my website right now on the subject of what people want to see more of, one of the choices being me messing up a man. Admittedly its trailing behind the other suggestions a bit but it has had plenty of votes so you're not alone!

I think Sploshing (as it should properly be called[1]) is a tad different from some other fetish scenes in that there does seem to be a higher level of "watching only" than in, say, the BDSM scene. I dimly remember a long time back on the asfwam[2] newsgroup there were some posts regarding a German "mud party" group who were basically telling "watching only" people they'd never be welcome at the group's events because they were for people to enjoy being in mud together, not stand around taking photos from the clean and dry safety of the banks.

If you ever look at flyers for BDSM clubs, they often say things like "no unaccompanied males unless by prior arrangement", i.e. they are intended for couples who want to play together, not single guys who want to oggle girls in bondage gear. They also tend to have very strict (and thoroughly enforced) rules about no cameras or recording equipment too. Of course Sploshing is too small a scene to sustain any clubs (and the logistics don't help either - the clean-up after a full on Splosh party would be lengthy and expensive), so the commercial side of it does tend to be dominated by single guys wanting to find pictures of women being gunged.

Interestingly enough though, in one of the revent UMD threads about male wam, a couple of producers have said that they've had bigger commercial success from male scenes than female. This could just be a freak blip, or on the other hand the gay splosh scene may be finally picking up commercially. I'm assuming the consumers of male splosh downloads are gay men rather than women, simply because men are far more visual than women, so generally "guys want to watch, girls want to do".

My own taste is a mix of wanting to watch, and to do. I love the scenes the Japanese are so good at where a couple or two women will take turns gradually doing messier and messier things to each other, like pouring plates of soup down each other's outfits. I'd also love to be in a scene like that, it'd be really nice to say have someone else crack half a dozen eggs down the inside of my dungarees, only for them to have to stand and take it as I pour a large bowl of rice pudding down their jeans, and carry on, tit for tat till we were both completely saturated in goo. I don't think it'd matter too much whether the other person was male or female, though it'd make a difference to the sexiness of it - with a woman it'd be sexier, with a guy more "just fun". TBH what'd matter most to me would be what outfit they were wearing!

[1] The "wam" label was a hastily chosen name picked by people who took the "newsgroups should not be named after commercial enterprises" rules of Usenet just a touch too seriously (but then Usenet people are like that, so it's not meant as a serious criticism). The original proposal was for "alt.sex.fetish.sploshing", but as Splosh was the name of a commercial magazine someone objected, and the founders of what became asfwam wanted their group created without controversy or random rmgroup attempts. ISTR it was a combination of Jiminy Thicket, Rob Blaine, and several others (poss Dave Lodoski?).

[2] asfwam = alt.sex.fetish.wet-and-messy. AFAIK the group still exists, but the real users abandoned ship in the face of an unstoppable deluge of pr0n spam many years ago and the only way in now would involve unsealing rusted- and welded-shut tripple-locked steel hatches and going in in full NBC-gear with nuke support and mini-guns. It's a festering cesspit of rotting spam, best left sealed till the sun goes nova.
