Come on, guys, give us the goss! After all I did pollute my forum with a photo of Easy As's shi(r)t!
Bill is very sorry he couldn't make it cos he wanted to know how you guys thought our forum was going, but last night HOORAY! his Mum got out of hospital so he was a bit busy! I dare say he will be back posting again soon!
So, come on, let's be having you...
Hayley
PS Happy to post any pics you may have to. Send them to shinyhayley@yahoo.com and I'll do it if our photo posting system scares you!
PPS A big up to Mrs Shipton - the only 81-year-old to defeat a hospital on her own! They never did decide on what drugs to give her!
June 1st meeting - How did it go, lads?
GungeSlut wrote:lol sorry hope that didn't sound too bad. The opions were that on other forums responce to wam producers pics are along the lines of mmmmmmmmm nice pics where as on here there tends to be a conversation. this probably happens on the other forums attached to specific sites the main difference being that a lot of people who don't subscribe to splosh (such as myself) feel free to join in here.
Oh I was just joshing (as I hurriedly pack my producer products away before they are spotted!). Although I do get tired of the 'forum sniping' like '..we are opening a new forum and it won't be like the nerdy UMD forum' whilst at the same time kissing ass on UMD.
Although the 'mmm nice pics' can be annoying I guess! But its a free world and if people want to post pleasentries then so be it.
However I look forward to a more robust critique on the producer material posted here!

No, you're not scary at all (puts on rubber soled shoes in case she has any of those electrical gadgets on her).
One quick word on forums. We are not sniping at anyone. As we have said on UMD, all forums have their place. We will never compete in numbers with the Mighty UMD and if we called it nerdy it was just our way of saying we wanted ours to have a different atmosphere to it, away from the academic discussions on custard pies using phrases like "good consistency, 85% facial coverage". We wanted it more chatty and fun and we needed to guide people in that direction to start with.
As for posts by professional producers...think we are going to have to work out a code of conduct on that one! But I don't think amateur pics would be greeted as dismissively here. Partly because they are rarer and partly because, as you say, people chat more here. But, obviously, that is up to you guys.
Anyway...still waiting to hear more stories of the big night. Glad loads made it, and I'm sorry we couldn't come for reasons already mentioned. Perhaps we ought to generate one ourselves, but then people might see it as some kind of rival.
Sorry, started rambling...better get on.

Hi guys . . .
sorry, have been a bit awol recently . . . !
Well a brief summary of a summery night in Soho . . . . . . and if you can stand punnery like this then you may find one or two more gems placed sparsely in the mire of my words ! On the other hand you may not.
As GungeSlut said, I got there around about 6-ish and the table we colonised at the back of the pub soon became two then three in short order.
One guy, who was already in the pub sitting on his own, came over and asked if this was the ' 6.30 meet ' . . . . ( if we are ever struggling for a generic name for a meet, there is one right there ). He joined us and stayed till about 7.40, and after I drank his beer by mistake due entirely to a bit of table manouvering he drank mine and we agreed never to make such an error again.
While this shenanigan was waiting to happen the evening was going along nicely. People were turning up from very early on and and by 7.30pm there were around about 10 out of the 18 that would eventually arrive.
By 8.30pm the evening was in full swing, Sploshman was even there and before Dids and Mercedes who stunned the room by wearing a red PVC dress and matching knee boots !
We were having a 2nd birthday of sorts and as such the everpresent Wamadeus brought along a birthday card which we all signed with our UMD login names - yes I know that sounds contentious but it needn't be.
So I can't tell you too much gossip as I was half drunk and to busy talking with people to know anything anyway . . . . but I can tell you a certain someone was seen chatting and laughing with a barmaid, while he was wearing a lairy bright orange shirt . . . . .
I'm not saying who, you'll have to get that from someone else, I don't spread rumours !
Said barmaid did think it was my birthday, so I said enigmatically " Well . . . . maybe ! " .
It was a great night with a lot of new faces and some familiar ones ! Let's do it again soon !
Ok, early shift is not my best, so that's all for now . . . . I'll put a list up of attendees next time !
