Phamton Flan Flinger Terrories GMTV Today LOL!!

Postby Sploshman » 15 Jun 2007, 19:09

I don't usually post stuff like this on here but i was just wondering if any of you caught the Phamton Flan Flinger giving the guys at GMTV a pieing today??.

They were interviewing Sally James about the Tiswas show tommorrow and the Phamton gatecrashed the proceeding by pieing nearly everyone (inc the interviewers lol).

Was a proper shock and well funny.

I have always been amused by the supposed acronyms contained in the title. These have always been made up to fit the word rather than the other way about. In fact tiswas is and was a midlands (especially Black Country) dialect word meaning a state of confusion and panic long before television was invented. I was born and brought up in Wolverhampton and my grandparents used to use it whenever something happened which they didn't understand. For example - "Oh, it's made me all of a tiswas!".

We used to use the term "all of a Tiswas" up in Yorkshire too.

My mother used to say it the most often in our house.
