Bill's Comedy Hernia - the Patient Returns...

Postby Hayley » 19 May 2007, 11:27

Dear all,

Will you kindly excuse Bill from messy games for the next week or so as he is going into hospital to have his his 70s sitcom comedy hernia dealt with.

He will be in hospital from Monday afternoon onwards and it is likely to be a few days before he comes out, somewhat sore, and has to sit quietly for a bit (probably talking to you lot).

As a result, he is not taking any studio bookings for a couple of weeks, and I shall have to remain 'nice and tidy' (sulk!). But there will only be a slight delay to sending out orders as I shall be down to help for a day or so.

This week he had some tests done at the hospital (to check the beer and pies hadn't done too much damage to operate on him) and he is already in love with Trish the Sister on his ward.

He would like to point out that his break from active sploshing has nothing whatsoever to do with Tigerr Benson coming to the studio yesterday for a six hour private session that has left him somewhat drained! But he can't stop talking about her, and says can't wait to get fit again to book her for a pro shoot. Apparently she can take almost as much punishment as me! Hmmm, we'll see!

So, anyway, you won't be hearing from the old git for a few days.

Feel free to send bunches of cyber grapes here! Or hard boiled eggs and nuts...

Nurse Hayley

Lots of good luck healing vibes being sent from Dolly in Irish corner here, cant wait til he's back on his feet and down the pub chatting about cartoons and taxes and tiswas over some drinkies.

And of course chucking pies at various assorted mental ladies such as Gilly, Sammy and Myself.

Tiger seems to know how to exhaust! I'd love to meet her!

Anyway, good luck and lots of love and hugs for you Bill, and to you Hayley taking care of him :)

Hopefully he can persuade Trish to visit the Silly House, and get Matron Gilly and/or Sister DD to splosh her!

Good Luck Bill, thankfully all I have to worry about is a dodgy knee!

I honestly thought Bill had been 'done' some time ago, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered you with Email & p.m.s. Sorry!

Anyway, can I wish him all the breast (sorry, best) in his dealings with nurse Trish. :)

Postby matt2matt2002 » 20 May 2007, 11:13

Get better soon Bill.

I was going to start a thread along the lines of..How dd Bill get his hernia?

Lifting up his wallet?

But then I'm not that cruel.
I'll leave that to someone else.

Cheers mate.

Thanks for all the good luck messages. I wonder how they would react if I stuck Mercedes picture on my locker? Might get told off by the lovely Sister Trish! (Why is she so lovely? Partly cos when she asked me how many units of alcohol I consumed in a week and I told her, she said it wasn't too bad. Then when I said I drank then in two nights, rather than telling me off, she whispered, "To be honest, so do I!").

Just about recovered from Tigerr's visit! She is an amazing lady and I hope we'll be shooting with her soon (though unfortunately when she is in the UK she lives round the corner from B2BM so she tends to go to them instead!)

Looking forward to getting back even though I am told I will be in far more pain than I am now. So anything you can post to cheer me up will be appreciated.

Thanks again
Bill

PS I assure you the hernia has nothing to do with lifting my wallet - I have people to do that for me.

Sorry to hear about the hernia, happy to hear it's being resolved so soon.

Presumably you'll be on halves of beer (to keep the lifted weight down) for the next couple of weeks! :)

All the best for your speedy recovery; commiserations to Hayley on her 'neat and tidy' penalty.

Looking forward to you being back in circulation very soon.

Good luck with the op Bill.

Had a hernia repair myself about five years ago, it was a bit painful getting round for the first few days but after that things got better pretty quickly.

One of the good reasons for having Cede for a nurse: if you had stomach surgery you wouldn't need one of those cage things to keep the blankets away from the site of the op!

Good luck with the op! I'm sure having Sister Trish and Hayley looking after you won't be so bad :)

And six hours with Tigerr Benson, that would be quite something! Was that done for someone's private pleasure or will pics be about at some point?
